Beautiful
Course was in great shape. Everything green and plush. Greens held and rolled true.
Great Course
We were allowed to tee off early, unlike other courses in the area. We had the course to ourselves. Overall the course is in great condition.
Rains, and added upkeep
The monsoon is here and the rains are greening up the courses. This is good overall, but adds to the need for mowing and detailed trimming. We lost balls in deep grass near greens and plugging.
The greens, though slower than usual, were extremely smooth and held (many shots backing up). There were a few “trouble” spots, but overall good. Overwatering was present in a few areas, as the rains make this difficult to control.
Pace of play was excellent with no waiting. Drink cart was there regularly. Club attendants although friendly seemed a bit disorganized and didn’t overwhelm us with physical service.
We played Rancho (Tin Cup 9) which is the most heavily treed. Anza 9 more open but was interesting as well. The resort is much different from the desert courses to the north and offers a great yesteryear atmosphere and history.
Overall the course is in pretty good shape and deserves play, and always cooler than Tucson due to much higher elevation as one moves towards old Mexico. Only an extra 15 minutes from Green Valley, check it out.
Play this course!
Second time here, this time brought the crew down from Tucson. Course conditions were pretty spectacular considering time of year. Staff was A+. I love the greens here, make you look like a pro! Shot my best round ever, so this place immediately vaults into my favorite. Make the trek down to Tubac and golf it up!
Pats review
Tough little course, the fairways and greens were very nice, it would be nice to have water available on the course, my only beef!
Beautiful course, but lacking some amenities
I've been wanting to play Tubac for many years now, but the cost always seemed prohibitive until I found a great deal on TeeOff. The Good: great layout, greens and fairways were in great shape for mid-summer season, and excellent pace of play (finished in 3-1/2 hours). There were some renovations going on with some cart paths, but was easy to get around. The not-so-good: course needs more yardage indicators, only had the black and white poles at 150 yards, no markers in the fairway or cart path, so it was hard to judge distances; no water was provided at all anywhere on the course and it was +100 degrees, not even a beverage cart, and some areas of the course were overwatered and muddy in fairways. Overall great experience and hope to be back. Hoping the course can upgrade some of the amenities for a better playing experience.
Tubac Golf Resot is the GEM in Southern AZ
If you live near Tubac, AZ or Southern Arizona then this is a must play course. Trust me it will not disappoint.
Awesome time with my Son Chris
Course was in an Amazing Shape
Shot 80 my best round there so far
Lovely course.
I love this golf course! Even though it’s muddy and very wet. Overwatering?
Great first time experience
We were one of last group to go out. Beautiful weather as rain rolled in the course lined with amazing shade trees. We are new to the game and felt this course was challenging enough. Great scenery and no crowds. We finished with excellent dinner at the resort. We will be back for sure!
Could be so much better
Rancho nine needed maintenance, fairways rough very shaggy, quite wet in spots. Anza's 9 much better, pleasure to play, pace of play was mediocre, some very slow locals.
Greens pretty good for this time of year
Great Course, stay away from the expensive bar
Course was great until we decided to have a beer afterwards. The beer was great but very expensive. Will play the course again, but go somewhere else for an after play drink.
Great Lush Course
Played on a holiday and it was very quiet. We played at a very leisurely pace. Love this course!
