Pricey
Very pricey for the course. Getting the money because of the movie. Even store items were out of line for the same reason. $90.00 for a sweatshirt that is worth $25.00.
Lacking Good Flow
Played with two out-of-the-area friends. Our first time there. Kind of excited to play where some scene from Tin Cup were played. We played the Rancho and Otero nine-hole courses. Rancho has the Tin Cup holes. Course is flat and meanders haphazardly through homes and trees. Greens aren’t framed very well at all and a tree can actually be directly in front of a green you’re going for. Very hard to discern where you’re supposed to hit. They put a five-some out right in front of us which didn’t make us happy. The resort itself appeared very upscale although we did not stay there. Restaurant and bar looked nice. Friendly staff.!
First timer
Overall GREAT experience. There are some thin spots on the greens. Fairways overall in good shape.
Lots of nostalgia in playing the "Tin Cup" course.
A challenging but rewarding course. I really enjoyed the round.
Excellent
Condition of course-better than most
pace very good (busy day) 4 hours. waited on 2-3 holes.
Staff -very efficient and friendly.
Atmosphere -fantastic.
Keep up the good work.
Tubac fun to play
I always play this course when visiting Tucson . 3 fun 9s to play . Drive to Tubac you will have fun here.
The staff is great.
great course, would have liked to known which 9s we were getting before hand
Always enjoy the trip down to tubac. great resort. course was in good condition. it was windy but so was the entire state that day.
One complaint was I had friends in town wanting to play the tin cup holes. Didnt know which 9s we were getting when we got the reservation. Partially my fault for not calling and confirming but would have been nice when signing up to see which courses we were playing.
Great course
Great course, very well maintained. Challenging and fun course
Tubac Tradition
We try to play Tubac a couple times each year. It’s our tradition to stand at the Tin Cup marker and “dream” the perfect approach shot. Excellent.
Great layout, always enjoy watching the cows. Course is always in good shape. We look forward to our return.
Not worth the money!
The course has a very snobbish attitude. The starter was not helpful. The bathrooms weren't working so the sign in the bathroom told you to use The 5 gallon bucket of water to flush your waste. Never had that experience before. Then the cart stops working on #6. I call the clubhouse and they know about their cart problems - we are told just yo smash the bottom to make it work. If that's not interesting enough, there are hoof prints in the fringe and green and cow pies in the he fairway. What a dump! STAY AWAY unless you are a member. Oops, forgot, my they even set us away from others when serving us lunch.
Great Staff
Our foursome played Tubac for the first time in early February. Most in my group thought the course was nice but significantly overpriced. I liked the huge trees that I haven't seen anywhere else in Arizona. The staff including Kristie was very helpful making our day as good as it could be considering we had cold temps and high winds for the early part of our round. The course conditions were good and the layout was varied and interesting considering the terrain is flat.
Overall I'd recommend Tubac but I wouldn't play it again for full price.
