Great Day
Had visitors in from it of town and they loved it. One of my favorite courses in Arizona.
Had a great time
We booked this trip to Tubac knowing it was still under some covid restrictions. That being said we had a great time. The pro shop staff was friendly and kind. And very helpful. The course was in pretty good shape. The fairways were in good shape and well maintained. The greens could have used a little work and ball marks needed repair. The bunkers were not too bad but a little hard. The frustrating thing was the tee boxes were not marked. We had to count at every bow to find the white tees. I don’t understand why they didn’t have markers labeling the boxes. That’s not a covid restriction. It really that was our only complaint. The food at the cantina was amazing. I had the Torta and my husband had the burrito. Both were excellent and the fries were crispy and tasty. A couple of days at this resort has been a wonderful get away. Can’t wait to come back when everything is opened.
Disappointed expectation
Always wanted to play the course where “Tin Cup” was filmed. I expected a much better maintained course. Although the greens were in good shape, the fairways were in need of mowing and in bad shape with inconsistent grasses on every hole. It was very hard to figure out where to tee off on every hole as there were no tee markers set on any hole. We had to get out of the carts and look for the cement yardage markers on every hole. This made for a frustrating day as I have never played a course without tee markers. Truly this course reminded me of a cow pasture with bent greens that have a lot of Po Anna on them. Course has been mostly neglected and needs a lot of work to get back in playing shape. Disappointing experience. Sorry Tubac, hope you can recover.
Perfect golf outing
The Anzo / Ranchero nines we played were in terrific shape, the greens were perfect and the course was in great shape. Will definitely play this track again !!
As Akways
The course was in great shape for the time of year. Staff was awesome. Appreciated them letting spouses ride together during the whole social distancing thing. Common sense. Always a treat to golf here and stay.
Never pass this course up
We play this course quite a bit and enjoy our golf time there. It is challenging without wishing golf was not one of your favorite things to do. We have had the opportunity to meet people to play with from all over the Arizona area, the staff is great and friendly and always helpful.
Bird Sanctuary NOT a Golf Course
I have always enjoyed playing Tubac in the winter.. Not anymore. Some of the faraway's have a fungus on them - not good. The greens were inconsistent . The biggest issue I have with Tubac is the number of ducks that now make this golf course home. There are holes that are covered with feces... I MEAN COVERED. You want to take a shower after playing each of these holes. Totally out of control. I'm not a germaphobe but it truly is a health hazard.
Beautiful Golf Course
Wow! The golf course is fantastic to view and play. The cleanliness and beautiful green all around the course, flowers and maintained trees and plants make you feel like you very fortunate and blessed.
Excellent Resort & Golf Facility
The golf course was in excellent condition as we played the Anza/Rancho courses. Fairways were well maintained, yet a little slower in run out due to moisture. Greens were well maintained and putted well. Overall a great round of golf.
Tubac Golf!
Great courses. Played the Avra and Rancho. Course is in prestige condition. Kudos to the maintenance crew. Would have never guessed hole #4 at Rancho was the tiny cup hole.... didn’t look like it. Either way, great time!
A true Gem
Course was in really good condition especially the greens. I always enjoy playing this course.
Very fun course to play
Excellent layout with numerous strategic options. Friendly helpful staff. Only down side was the amount of bird droppings on the Anza 9th green.
Great Fun
we always try to play a round at Tubac when we visit southern Arizona in the winter. The staff is more than friendly and very helpful. The course always seems to be in good shape and has plenty of challenges.
The best part is having lunch or dinner here too. Very good food.
