Easy course , fun to play
If you don't want to get frustrated with major challenges , go play that course.
Cart guy needs to check his attitude!
I booked my round the day of and upon arriving at the course there really wasn't a bag drop or attendant like most of the courses around, no big problem though. I went inside the pro shop and only one lady was at the counter with a line of 8-10 waiting. Went back outside to wait, came back and only 1 person left. As I tried checking in my name wasn't on their printed out sheet and she seemed confused by this but eventually located me in the system and checked in. There were no carts out in front and found someone to ask about getting a cart, they said I could take the one that he drove up in (an elderly lady had fallen by the putting green and cut her head open, some of the staff were very quick to respond and help her until EMS arrived). My tee time was for 2:15pm, checked in with the starter as another group was getting ready to tee off, then there was another foursome waiting after that, didn't tee off till around 2:40pm. Pace was super slow by the group ahead of us, even though the group in front of them eventually pushed ahead a hole and half in front of them. I found out later that there are no course marshals out on the course after they stopped doing the shotgun starts. As for the course itself, not too difficult, fairways are pretty thin, rough was weeds, bunkers didn't have a lot of sand, some with just pebbles, most the greens were hard, but rolled true and decent speed. The end kicker for me never coming back is apparently there is a 6:30pm "curfew" for all golf carts to be at the staging area regardless where on the course you are and if daylight is left. My group was on #18 at 6:28pm when the 3 of us had already teed off and everyone in the fairway. The cart guy came out and proceeded to actually pick up the golf balls in the fairway and tells us we were done playing. I was actually getting ready to hit my shot into the green when he pulled up by me and asked, "are you going to hit that?", which I said "yes" and he said "no you aren't" and stood right in front of me. He then proceeded to argue with me for at least 5 minutes, in which time I would have finished the hole. The cart still didn't get there any faster. Thinking back, I should have just gotten my stuff and clubs off the cart to walk that last 180 yards and finish the hole, then he could have figured a way to get the cart back by himself. The one positive thing was the people I played with were very friendly and we weren't made to double up in the cart, they allowed us to have single carts. If we had actually started at 2:15pm we would have had plenty of time to finish all 18 holes even with the slow group ahead of us. It would also be nice to have course marshals out enforcing faster play and people not hitting multiple extra shots every hole. Also, some of the parking is under repair and asphalt is piled up, the roof over the restaurant was also getting replaced so lots of construction work by holes close to the pro shop/restaurant. However, I won't be playing this course again.
A Little Slow
We used to play this course a lot but when they do shotgun starts with higher rates we go elsewhere. The course was in pretty good condition with nice turf in the fairways, tee boxes. Greens were fast. Pace of play gets stacked up so 18 holes in 4.5 hrs is a little long for a short course. The guy doing the golf cart area was grumpy! Overall we like the course!
Nice, relatively forgiving course. Shorter than average, but still had some challenges and beauty to the lay out.
Very friendly Pro Shop staff and starter. The course Marshall was extremely unprofessional: We had a late start due to slow play/overcrowding. At the 16th hole, he told us that the 6:30 pm mandatory cart return was approaching. I asked him to please ask the group in front of us to pick up their play as they were one and a half holes behind the next group. He waived me off as if it's not his problem. Then at the 18th hole, he literally picked up our golf balls after our drives because it was 6:28, two minutes from closing time ...even though we had about 5 -10 minutes of play left, as well as about 45 minutes before sunset. He was not an asset to this course.
Course management
Shotgun start was different, when I purchased the round I was unaware of that fact.
Viewpoint- shotgun start
Excellent pace of play, well organized for a shotgun start
Tee boxes - fair
Fairways - good
Greens - fast, but excellent
Slow play
Conditions were pretty nice compared to other courses in the valley. Good pace on the greens and fairways were green and lush. Didn’t finish the 18th hole as pace of play slowed to a crawl.
Tee time.
I was booked for a 12:33 tee time and was told no you don’t. We do a shotgun start this time of the year and it is at 1:00pm.
Told the lady I can show my confirmation for 12:33 and was told it didn’t matter, it’s 1:00 pm.
Waste of time
I was looking forward to my golf outing with my son. We started out good on the first 2 holes but by the time we got to hole 3 we were backed up 15 minutes. This happened for 2 reasons.
1st - there was an elderly couple that was walking that was 2 groups ahead of us
2nd - the group in front of us had 4 people. 2 of which looked like it was their first time golfing. they hit and dropped multiple balls slowing everyone down. it took 2 1/2 hours to get in 9 holes with wait times up to 20-30 minutes a couple of times. We wont go back.
Great track
Greens were great and defend this relatively short track. BELOW THE HOLE or three Jack's will come your way....
Excellent greens
The greens on this course are fast and smooth very nice!
