Disappointed
I was disappointed at how I was treated when I played there recently. Due to a disability, I require a cane, and find walking distance aa issue. When I arrived at the pro-shop I was advised that the first 9 would be cart path only for course maintenance. I said this could be an issue, and had actually asked if the GPS would allow me to allow me to drive closer to the greens. I am an owner at Kierland Villas and play the course whenever I stay there. I invited a friend to play there as I feel this is a beautiful place to play. My friend and I even said we would be willing to play the second 9 twice. I found the staff to be totally unwilling to make any type of accommodations. I understand that course maintenance is required, but this is not an inexpensive course to play.
Further, I was not advised that we would be required to play cart path only. They told me that was the responsibility of Golf Now. As it turned out, I could not compete a few holes. Call me disappointed.
Great course fun
Especially for the end of a long hot and relatively dry summer here in the desert, the course was in incredible shape! The pace was fast and we had a lot of fun. Unfortunately we had a member from our party cancel last minute for a family issue and we were forced to pay for his vacated round. After which they tried to pair us with someone. The starter after I informed him that we had paid for an additional person was cordial about it and didn’t end up pairing us. There has to be something that can be done about unavoidable cancellations and not having to pay quite a bit of money for someone’s round who wasn’t there.
Consistent conditions for taking out clients.
I've played here a few times and it's always clean, friendly staff and the perfect place to take clients knowing you will have a good time.
A very picturesque golf course
Loved the course. It was in great shape across fairways, bunkers and greens. The staff was very courteous. I would play here anytime I am back in AZ.
Great Course
The course was in very good condition for the middle of August. The staff is very nice and helpful. If the pace of play was better everything would have been perfect.
Great course
I have no complaints about the course. The layout is fun and it’s in great shape considering the time of year. My only complaint is the price. A round of golf should never cost more than the temperature during summer in AZ.
So last played here about two weeks ago. 3 1/2 hour round, traps appearing much better, greens getting better too especially on Mesquite after storm and punch. Great staff here, course is challenging from all tees, just a fun play here.
Good Course
Played Mesquite to Ironwood. In fairness to the course, a huge thunderstorm passed overnight, and some of the bunkers still had standing water, mud on cart paths and tree limbs down. Despite this had a great time. Mesquite greens still bumpy about a month after aeration. Ironwood greens a little better. Despite middle of summer, still a lot of green on the fairways and fun place to play. Everyone you encounter on the course is just super nice and friendly. Played in about 3 1/2 hours.
