The course was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful I would recommend playing there to anyone
Greens kinda tore up
Beautiful course, all well kept except sand traps and greens. Greens looked abused by people not repairing and sand traps were real rough hazard.
Awesome course… especially considering the heat we have had the last few weeks
One of the best courses in Arkansas
Premium course for reasonable price. If you weigh in the cost to course and compare to other courses with their prices, this potentially the best course in Arkansas depending on conditions. Which are usually excellent.
Great value!
My first time playing this course and I had an awesome round. I played on a Sunday afternoon and the course was wide open. Greens are huge and rolled fast. The par 3's were by far the highlight of the round. All of them have beautiful looking tee shots with big elevation change. #12 is my favorite hole on the course. 180 yards from the blues. Strait down hill about 150 foot drop. Fairways are a bit rough but in decent shape. Loved all of the trees and how connected with nature it felt while playing. I would definitely recommend and
Still an awesome track
Tee boxes, fairways and greens were freshly cut and beautiful. This scenic course has generous landing areas from the tees and large bermuda greens that are in great shape with no dead spots. Some of the bunkers are not raked and have drainage issues so it’s fair to lift clean and place in those. They are obviously working hard on bunkers. There was no beverage person or water on the course so come prepared. They’re fine with tumblers. Mountain Ranch is an excellent golf course and a screaming bargain.
Hidden gem
I live in Springfield, Mo and my cousin lives in Cabot, Ar. We were looking for someplace to meet in the middle(sort of) and found this place. Absolutely beautiful course and a challenge for a bogie golfer like me. I didn’t even care that I didn’t shoot well because the course was so pretty. Definitely worth the drive and at a great price point we will be meeting back there multiple times in the future.
BEAUTIFUL Course
Every fairway was in great condition, tee boxes were clean and neat, greens were awesome and played fairly quick. Can’t say enough about this little beauty. Loved every single hole
Awesome course
Easily the one of the best public courses in the state, greens were exquisite and fairways were in awesome shape for the heat wave we have had.
Mountain Resort Course
The pro shop staff were very helpful and friendly. They worked with us to address our group needs.
The on-site restaurant was closed and they are looking for a person to run a restaurant business there. It would have been nice to relax and enjoy the scenery af the end of play.
Interesting Course
Mountain Ranch is an interesting course layout with generally enjoyable layout, accessible fairways and challenging greens. Some holes (<5) are undergoing maintenance and therefore had some deterioration. Our round included some medium to moderate rain in waves and we waited out the weather a couple times, but the course drained really well and never was unplayable. Several holes are tight and require good tee shots to find the fairway. Overall an enjoyable round even including the weather. Note that the number of golfers is minimal (seems to be related to the area overall) and that has caused them to discontinue services like beverage cart and pro shop snack bar - both of which appear to be discontinued for the long haul.
Well worth the travel
Considering the rain the past couple of months I wasn't expecting miracles, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well the course drains. I can only think how good it must be with just the right amount of water.
The layout is fun and has some good challenges.
I played of the tips to get a good feel. I can honestly say, after shooting 75 that it is a great challenge. Lots of blind tee shots and couple risk and reward driving holes.
Can highly recommend this track. One of the best in Arkansas, hands down.
Will be back
Steve’s review
Course was in pretty good shape considering all the rain we’ve had recently. Greens were in good shape My main complaint is the bunkers. They were terrible. Grass growing in them no sand to speak of. Bunkers were totally unkempt.
