It should be a course that every golfer has on his list to play

One of the best courses in the north bay area, Nothing lacking, from the driving range to the practice putting area to the practice pitching area. Facilities are excellent and so is the staff. A course that every golfer will come back and play again.

Excellent Day on the Course

This has to be one of the nicest courses that I've played. It's always in great condition, and Saturday was no exception! Well maintained, challenging yet playable for those of us trying to break 90.
The staff are always the best, it would be hard to find employees at any company that do they're jobs as well as these folks.
Plus the fact that the green fees are reasonable for such a nice course, and it's relatively local for me makes this the first course that I check on Golfnow when looking for a place to play.

Great Course

This is one of the nicest course I've played. The staff is great and very helpful. The fairways and greens are in amazing shape for the time of year and the sand is perfect.

The greens are quick but very true. If you have the right line and speed your going in the hole.

There's lots of well placed bunkers to challenge you or you can play it safe and go around them. Good amount of water also.

The only disadvantage to the course is there is very little to no shade, but there is bottled water provided on several holes with ice to fill up your ice chest. If your going play in the summer bring the sunscreen.

Another nice touch is the chilled wet towel at the end of your round to cool you down. I will be back. My new favorite course.

Not many courses better than this.

The course is always in great shape. The service is fantastic and everything you want in a quality golf experience is here. On a hot day, the water bottle filled refrigerators on the course are appreciated. Top notch gps golf carts, great course layout....it's all at this course in a beautiful hidden valley. Play it once, and you'll be back.

Service at Yocha Dehe is top notch.

The service you get at Yocha Dehe is worth the price. Access to bottled water about every 3 holes, club cleaning at end of round, cold hand towels once you get back to club house, and knowledegable staff beats everything around the Sacramento region. The practice facility and course are also very well maintained. I will be coming back a couple times a year for now on.

A treat for any golfer

Truly a spectacular course. Very well designed holes in pristine condition. Greens roll beautifully and are fast, but not quite lightening fast. Staff is incredible in both their service and attitudes. Is well worth the drive and the extra $20 you'll have to pay for the green fee.

Great Course Great Value!

This is the 3rd time I've played the course over the past 3 months. Each time I like it more. It is always in amazing condition, and the staff is always the friendliest around. This time nobody was in front of my dad and myself the entire round. So we had no problem taking our time yet not being held up. The course is long, but fair. The greens are in excellent shape, and on the firm side. I drive 90 minutes to play there and if it were closer to my house I wouldn't play anywhere else. Country Club atmosphere including the famous "Olympic Club/Silverado Burger Dogs".

Lots of amenities provided on course, BUT not worth price or hype.

After much hype and hearing from golfers this was course to play, had to see for self. We played behind a 2some that were "regulars" and allowed to play at whatever pace they wanted as long as "They" were not approached by marshalls or pushed. We saw marshall repeatedly and voiced complaints regarding said couple and were told each time that the couple were regulars and they weren't slow and we had marshall watch them fall behind hole and half , but nothing ever done. The amenities provided on course were nice, but definitely not worth what you pay to play. I would not recommend this course in future as such. Given the experience and fact that we had stated our first time here and had high ecpectations, and to have the above happen and no resolve????? Definitely not the TROON experience you get at their other courses.

awesome experience

This was the first time in a long time I went to a course and EVERY single employee who came into contact with us seemed genuinely happy to see us and did everything to make our experience top notch. Yes, this course is more money than most in this area, but you will see where the extra money went and you will be completely satisfied. Can't wait to get back there.

Great layout, challenging, well maintained

I played Yocha Dehe for the first time last week and was so impressed I went back the following week even though it's a 90 min. drive. Very good layout, well maintained, good pace of play, only had to wait maybe a couple of minutes on 2 holes. Other than that, we didn't see hardly anyone behind or in front of us. Excellent service and they have small refrigerators on the course every 3-4 holes with bottled water...a very nice feature. Greens ran true and fast. Next to Cache Creek so after our round, we had a good buffet there too! Will be back again

Beautiful course, wonderful amenities

My sons and I played on Fathers' Day. Practice facility was in great shape and staff very cordial. GPS in carts was a little tough to get used to and did not show distance to carts in front of us (out of view). Otherwise, an outstanding day ended in the bar with beer, friendly staff and great wings.

SUPERB

Exceeded my expectations. From the staff to the course, everything is top notch. Service was excellent. Best course in the area that I've played. This is probably as close as I got to resort golf without paying a fortune. Will definitely play again, likely as a package stay and play deal....Go Play!

Great course with a luxury feel

Yocha caters mostly to casino resort guests. All of the details are luxurious, including the bag drop, golf carts, range balls, and pro shop. The locker room even has showers.
The service is impeccable, from the moment you arrive. The on-course marshals were great too.
The course itself was also in terrific shape, though the wind was whipping at 25mph when I played. Besides the obvious wind difficulties, it dried out the already fast and hard greens, making approach shots nearly impossible. The greens were smooth and fair, but with sprayed approach shots leaving 30-50' putts, it's tough to score.
I'll come back on a calmer day and enjoy the course even more.

Have added another favorite course.

Like other Troon courses, wide fairways with many of them feeding to the middle. Lets you let it rip.

But don't let that fool you. The course is long and plays even longer which will push your game, that is unless you are a long ball guy.

Greens are fast and the breaks don't really seem to come into play, Just hit it stright to get it close. They roll true.

Staff was great. Facility has everything you could want and the costs are very reasonalble. Look for their drink specials, great value.

Will make a return trip soon, maybe for the weekend versus just one day.

Excellent course for all levels of golfers

Played the course several times, with each being an experience unto itself. From check-in to the completion of the round, staff, facility, course, and cusine is well above par. Average golfers need not be intimidated, as long as they play within themselves and from the right tee box. Course conditions are always top notch. Care must be used on windy days, as the brisk winds can easily add strokes to your score.
It is on my once a month list, as a course that makes you want to come back again and again.
