Fun course
A fun par 3 course, exceptionally windy that day, great place to teach someone how to play tee to green. Nice break in the middle of a golf weekend.
Average Course, Below Average Amenities
The course is okay; you get a good variety of par 3's, but the services leave a lot to be desired. Even though we were playing in temperatures in the mid 80's this is the first course in the region I have ever played that did not supply you with water in the golf cart coolers. Also, the routing markers hole to hole are non-existent, so for a first-timer we got lost and made wrong turns a few times. Staff wasn't very friendly nor helpful. Despite the low rate I probably would not go back there again.
Slow pace
Wish the marshals had been out on course. Group in front of us definitely slowed us down when we started the back 9 there was 3 open holes in front of them and they were not interested in letting us play through.
Typical Public Course
Overbooked with long delayed start time. They had a large tournament in the morning and not advised at booking, otherwise we would have gone elsewhere.
Greens in poor condition, covered with unprepared ball marks. Many sandtraps not raked, fairways not too had. Overall a fun course layout if properly maintained.
Old golfcarts, but we're told new ones arriving "next week".
4 out of 5
Pretty good course overall for a fair price. 3 or 4 holes play over water wash which is not a factor unless you get heavy rains. I would play this course again, it is wide open with no protection from winds.
We would love to hear more about your positive experience on our course. Please contact us to share with us your favorite part of your experience. Thanks for golfing at Cimarron Golf Club - Pebble Par-3 Course!
Bad experience here on a Saturday that could have been avoided
I’ve played before and had expectations for a decent on and off course experience but this was not that.
All of the issues could have been avoided with decent management and/or training of staff and scheduling.
It turned out they put a junior tournament on the course that day but no one informed us of that or the fact that they were running 30-35 mins behind the tee time schedule until 5 minutes before our tee time. We had been there an hour ahead, hit plenty of balls, putted, etc and were all warmed up to find this out. No compensation and no apologies but a lot of frustrated and angry golfers. Why put kids who are walking and going to take 5 hours to finish out there and not tell any of the paying customers in advance? And they shut the kitchen/bar area down for an event so no where to wait it out inside on a cold day. Also they failed to mention there are no bathrooms on the course. I brought a golfer here for his first time and no way will he or anyone he knows be back. It’s just unprofessional.
Good Course Good Value
This was the second time we played thus course. Seemed to have improved since the first time. Some small greens but otherwise good layout and fun to play. Only problem was waiting for a cart. The course obviously needs a few more carts.
It was windy and the course follows along a wash area that has exposed sand. The wind was strong enough to make visibility poor and uncomfortable to stand in. If it's not windy the course is good, wide fairways and the greens are in excellent shape.
Good value, not a bad course
We played Cimarron recently, we liked everything but the bunkers. The bunkers were like concrete. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Over priced
We paid $130 to play which is around 170 CDN. This is way over priced in my opinion Course layout is good but overall conditions not good. If you hit your ball into any of the waste areas forget about hitting it out Full of rocks and gravel. These areas should be playable. They need to be be cleaned out. Sand traps are no different Full of rocks and rock hard sand. Fairways and greens average at best. Very few ball washers The few that there were are dry and dirty Had to wash clubs in the ice bucket for drinks they provided. Nice! This is an $80 course in my world.

Only capable golfers should play this course
Do I like the Pebble course? Yes. I am a good golfer - single digit - and I found the holes challenging but fair with a range of lengths from wedges to woods. The problem? My wife is a beginner and seldom hits her tee shots on the green. Because there is no fairway - all holes are rough from tee to green - there are three problems. Firstly, there is no run on shots that don't get to the green. Secondly, the rough is thick and hard to get a club through if you don't have a fairly high swing speed. Also, any shot that comes in low and hits the green will run right off the back. These three factors make the play of this course difficult if not impossible -certainly not fun- for novice golfers or those that can't hit the ball far.
