Good Value
I booked the course because there was an available tee time for the next day and the price was reasonable by comparison to other courses. I enjoyed my round and the challenge of the holes. I have a walking disability so was allowed to take my cart just about anywhere which allowed me to keep pace with my partners. I know I can score better so booked another round after my finish.
One serious drawback is that there is no drinking water on the golf course, so take your own water. And the restrooms are portable.
The golf staff was friendly and helpful.
Nice course
Nice course for the money, wide fairways, pace was a little slow, beautiful views
Post Over Seeding Review
The over seeding was done about 4 weeks ago. The fairways were generally in good shape with a few dry or bare spots. Greens rolled fast and true. The sand bunkers were all crap! no sand, over spray from over seeding growing in the bunkers, hardpan or wet with some puddling. No bottled water on the carts nor tee's. Saw a single cart girl on 13th fairway and she sped right by us without stopping to ask if we needed anything. Marshals may have been out but I did not see one the whole round. I play the coarse about 6 times a year and this was by far the least enjoyable experience not sure I will make the journey from Indio to this coarse again unless the greens fees come down which I doubt they will due until out of season.
No refreshment
It's was hot and slow which was expected. However, it would have been nice to have a refreshment cart available to purchase drinks on the course. M
In great condition
Forcing carts off the fairways 100+ feet from the green is nuts, but we really enjoyed the course. Greens and fairways in great shape.
Good place to play.
This is a very fun track. I have been here several times and I have always had a good time. This place is well maintained.
Good course, good value
Good value and good conditions; appreciative to the Ranger to speed up the group in front of us so we could finish in 4 hours before darkness fell.
We found the course in great shape after just reopening but for the past couple of years we have been concerned with the homeless people on course especially on some of the back nine holes. There is a par 3 back there you cannot see your cart from the tee box and you have some of these folks walking around. hope you don't have anything valuable in your cart. This is really too bad because this is a great course with great value for the price charged.
Nice Course for fun round-
Great course for fun - not extremely chaallenging but will kept and reasonably priced - will play there again
Great course and staff!
We hadn’t played Cimarron in a couple of years. We booked it as they had early tee times at reasonable prices compared with most in the Coachella Valley. We arrived at the course early and the starter was kind enough to let us play early. We hit a nice pocket and finished in 3.25 hours! The fairways and greens were in excellent shape!! All of the staff was very friendly! Will definitely play there again!
Highly recommend playing this beautiful desert course
Good value for cost and condition
Overall layout was challenging from blue tees. Some greens had heavy ball marks (disappointing). Tee boxes and fairways were in good condition. Pace of play was slow at times, didn’t see the marshal out on course to help.
water
They don’t have any water on the course i suggest you bring your own water at least 3 bottles
