About Cimarron Golf Resort

Guests of the Cimarron Golf Resort will be comfortable at the Staybridge Suites Cathedral City, an extended-stay hotel that is the perfect alternative to corporate apartments or restrictive vacation rentals. All 197 units include a full-sized fridge, microwave, stovetop and dishwasher. A Raintree Vacation Club with two bedroom condos and the Worldmark Cathedral City hotel are also available onsite. The golf courses, the 6,700-yard Boulder course and the 3,000-yard executive Pebble course, are set to a backdrop of the San Jacinto Mountains.

can get a tee time on the day. great to work on short game. pace of play great because you don't have people looking for balls.

good conditions good value

the course is in good shape after a big down pour the day before. good value considering this time of the year. very forgiving course with little water. nothing spectacular holes pretty straight forward with wide fairways.

Once is enough.....

So, My wife and I have played all over the desert, and finally decided to play the Boulders. we check in....all good....We talk to the ranger.....says he's leaving because it's a light day for golfers....we tee off and are cruising until we meet group one....Play 2 holes behind them and clearly we were pressing them...So drive by to the next hole so they could enjoy the day,,,,Then we roll up on a sixsome....press them and then drive by again...this group is related to staff and playing for free....goood dudes but we want to play....lastly we roll up on a foursome that's playing a 2 man scramble... slow and awful...we drive by them as well...bottom line it plays like a Muni, is managed like a Muni and

offered zero reason to play it again.

I chose this course for my wife, who no longer hits very long. Almost every hole had an elevated green, making this course very difficult for her. Not recommended for high handicapped golfers. The course was still showing the effects of the rain storms earlier in the year, and I. A see why the course was closed for so long. The staff was very friendly, no one to clean our clubs when we finished the round. Price was right, but not the course
