detioration
Several years ago, CCGC was a first rate Coachella Valley course. It still is a great layout, especially the Mountain (back nine) side.
Unfortunately, the course conditioning is now very poor, except for the greens, which are well maintained.
One of the unavoidable problems is the positioning of the wash, which significantly affects the playability of holes 1 and 10.
I suspect it will be very hard for there to be much chance of rectifying the problems, without a huge influx of new money.
Screwed
Screwed by GolfNow. The time we booked wasn’t honored by Cathedral Canyon and GolfNow doesn’t give credits. Lesson learned!!!!
Course not in good shape
Perhaps it was the recent rains. But the course is not in great shape at all. Even at $49 with cart it wasn’t worth it for us. Perhaps others are ok with it. In fact we returned to the clubhouse after 2 holes and there was a tournament happening. Good luck to them.
2 holes damaged by flood
A good course which needs investment in rough maintenance that would make it a very good course
Greens are amazing!
This course has amazing potential. You need a fabulous first and last hole. The greens are fantastic…the water is a perfect challenge…but fairways need more grass and less dirt. The course sidelines need more care. Thanks for the opportunity to voice our concerns. The cost is a definite positive.
Sincerely
Clare Downing
This course has very friendly staff.
Due to flooding the tee box was moved on number 1 and the back nine was closed.
Review
Course in rough shape definitely needs some work to bring it up to others in the area. Washout certainly don’t help.
I will be back
Good Value
Course is not in great shape, particularly the first hole that plays down by the wash area. However the course layout is quite good, and the greens were in excellent condition. So even though the maintenance of the course is somewhat low, the lower green fees make it a good value if you just want to play a round of golf without paying a high price. We would play it again if price remains reasonable.
Ok course
There is still evident damage from the weather in August. The 1st hole has quite a bit of damage and #10 (normally a par 5) is being played as a par 3. Greens are in great shape.
Staff are very friendly and starter, Assa, makes it fun to be there.
good value
great people and wonderful greens,,will play again
