GOOD , CHALLENGING LAYOUT
This is the second time I've played here and little has changed - except the 10th hole which was shortened. The course is challenging with decent length from the white tees and lots of water that comes into play often. Pro shop and bar staff were friendly and helpful. Down-side? Conditioning is marginal. The greens were pretty good (6.5/10) but the tees and fairways could use some work (and water). If the course was in better condition it would be a go to place to play rather than an inexpensive alternative.
enjoyable golf
The course is a little short of grass which makes it hard to try and use a wedge for those short shots. The greens are quite fast.
Good but needs some work
Green are quite fast and in good shape but are hard and difficult to stick on on approach shots. Lots of bump and tuns. Fairways need a lot of work. They are very hard and patchy. Very difficult to chip off. Pace of play was good but the next day we played it, pace was super slow. Staff was good to deal with. Overall pretty good value for what we paid on GolfNow.
Bumped my reservation later that I would not finish 18 holes
I received a confirmation and pmt for a tee time. Showed up and was told my time was double booked. They placed us at a open time that was later in the day which will not allow us to play 18 holes. Manager didn’t care would not discount incomplete golf round and told us to call them directly for tee times because GolfNow was useless on secure tee times. They did give us range balls while we waited the hour and half. We stopped play after the 15th hole
Old & tired course
Greens were good but fairways were pretty bare of grass. It looked like it was a great course at one time.
Challenging with all the water holes. One of sand traps even had small pebbles in it.
very poor course conditions.....
This course is in very poor condition....Everything from the tee box, fairway and greens are poorly maintained...I was embarrassed to have invited my friends and family to play this course....The course layout is the only nice thing about it. It has a lot of potential and could be a nice course but it certainly needs a lot of work and attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Course is improving
We had a great time. The first 9 rate of play was great. The second nine not so much. The course condition is improving a lot vs what we saw in July 2022 when first played,
Cathedral Canyon Golf Club - Jan 2023
The greens were fine, and layout was interesting. But so many areas of fairways and tee boxes were bare. With some attention, this could be a nice course, I paid $88 which was too high for a course in this condition.
Visitors
The fairways were sparse of grass- greens were great
Great Value Course
Great staff and nice restaurant. Course not in great shape but playable. The layout is fairly challenging. On course restrooms very poor condition. This course is by far the best value in the Valley.
