Needs some TLC
Even with a discounted rate this course was way overpriced. They told us when we got there that they had a broken water main so a few holes were dry. That was an understatement. At least five of the greens were like putting on concrete! The unpleasant experience started when we pulled up to the gate into the community. It was not clearly marked and it took a while to figure out if we were at the right place. Once inside the gate there was no clear signage directing you to the golf course.
Worst in the Valley
Rude staff, poor conditions. Could be great. Hopefully Marriott turns this around. jC Golf can get out now. Cost for this course is ridiculous compared to other cv courses.
Sad to see
I used to play here 30 plus years ago and it was a fine course. It is sad to see how bad the course condition has gotten. The layout is still pretty good except for long traverses between some holes and the wash is a mess and construction on the bridge has ruined hole #10, Greens not bad but fairways are sad and rough is filled with weeds. If it is true that Marriot has purchased the course hopefully they can bring it back to its former glory.
It's Okay
I've played the course several times in the last 5 years. It's a decent course, but old and tired. Its condition was reflected in lower green fees relative to other courses, but rates have increased this year to the point that there are better courses with lower fees, so we won't play there again unless fees are lowered
Needs work
Staff are very friendly, course I’d in need of some TLC, greens and tee’s in great shape.
Sandstorm fun!
This was my first time playing Mesquite the course layout is nice but the course conditions were poor it looks like their grounds crew had taken a couple of weeks off but I’ll be back to play this course again just because of the layout and my three putt problems!
Nice greens, so-so course
Course had some good holes but general course conditions were about a C grade. Driving range is not good. Range balls are hit into a wash area. Greens we’re good so no complaints there but not sure I’d go back. Course winds around homes and has several lakes and ponds but is still playable.
Staff was friendly enough but overall course was below what you might expect for peak season desert layout.
