Cart issue.
Only issue I had was I booked a 245 T Time and when I got to the course I was told carts needed to be back by 530. Had I known that I would not of played. Since it doesn't get dark till 750 carts should be allowed past 530 or the T time should not say cart include.
Great Sunday Round
Fairways, greens and tee boxes all in excellent shape. We teed off at 2:07 and finished at 5:40 so pace was great as well. We will definitely come back again.
Golfers dream course!
This was our first time here and we were absolutely blown away on how pristine and beautiful this place is! I wish we would have played here sooner because every aspect of the course is in excellent condition... from the tee boxes to the cup.... AMAZING!! They have three 9 hole courses and all three looked like a PGA ready or close to it! ! We played Lagos on the front 9 and Vista on the back. It can get a little confusing as some holes have distance between them and lack of signage was an issue especially for a first timer but it was addressed at the pro shop during check in and once you get to each and every hole... WOW!!! The views were stunning and the conditions were so good you forget about the lack of signage! LOL!! I highly recommend this course if you are a golfer that loves excellent course condition, friendly staff and beautiful layouts!! This is one of my top 5 courses so far in the PS area!!
Desert Princess is a must play course on my list
Everything about the course is spectacular. Condition, set up, bunkers, all create a fair challenge each time I play here.
This course is very picturesque on arrival. Green everywhere with pops of colorful flowers!
This is my favorite course to play in the Palm Springs area. I travel here from a colder climates and I’m never disappointed when I arrive to play at Desert Princess!
Beautiful course
Beautiful course but beware the layout is strange. The first tee of the Cielo course is 10 minutes from the pro shop by golf cart. We were late for our tee time because of this. The pro shop should have mentioned it when we checked in. We advised them we hadn’t played the course before. The bag boy told us most people get lost the first time. Otherwise, the course is in great shape and fun to play.
Great course that needs to join the 21st century
The course is great. Played in 3 hours 35 minutes. The conditions were pristine in March. I liked the variability of the holes on the course and felt like I was using a lot of clubs in my bag.
My biggest frustration is the lack of technology. There's a QR code on the carts for a GPS system that you can use from your phone. It's a clunky interface, slow to load, difficult to read on the phone in bright and sunny conditions, drained my battery, and didn't include any help with green reading. They've got to get the greens mapped so Golf Logix, USGA GHIN, and other apps can share that information with golfers.
The USGA GHIN app worked for GPS on Cielo/Lagos but not for Vista, and there are a number of Desert Princess courses entered in the USGA GHIN app that don't work for GPS nor green reading.
I'm not saying that they need fancy GPS enabled carts, they just need to map the greens and clean up the information they're providing to these pre-existing golf GPS apps.
Awesome experience
Course was in great shape had an awesome round will be back to play it again
Great course
Nice course 3 good 9s all a little different. Played 3 times during my stay teamed up with very nice people.
A little more tlc on the course n it could be setup for tough track. Greens were ok n lots of blind shots. Overall had a great experience. Just gotta separate tee times a few more minutes n need a course Marshall. Pace of play was pretty slow
Great course close to airport too
Wonderfully maintained well managed course. I played cielo and Lagos mines. The 7 minute drive to Cielo through the neighborhood had me wondering what kind of a course I had gotten myself into. But the first couple holes out in the wash were kind of cool. Then you turn into the neighborhood. Lagos was very nice. Well laid out and greens and traps were in excellent shape. Not crazy long but long enough. Some water but not over the top or unfair.
Interesting layout with challenging greens
Course was in great condition. I liked the variety of some desert holes along with the ones surrounded by houses. Putting was a challenge if you got above the hole.
Unfortunately pace of play was far too slow on Lagos 9. They need a marshall to ask the non-golfer tourists to hurry up or step aside.
Unbelievably, restaurant shut at 5pm, so this slow play meant no food or drink after the round.
Scotsmanabroad
Great course, always try to play at least a couple of times when I'm over on vacation.
Front 9 (Lagos) was a little challenging with the strong breeze, just like home in Scotland, and dust. Back 9 cleared and wind dropped, so all good.
