The Conditions Were Excellent
Greenhorn Creek has always been a gem. For the average player, it can be trying, but it is still an absolute joy to play. I found the conditions to be excellent. A little wet in spots on the fairways, but overall, it was terrific. The greens are fast and true. Most courses in this area have trouble with their bunkers. Not Greenhorn. I found the bunkers to be in great condition and the sand/dirt to be consistent. That's all you can ask. Unlike some courses in the area, I am happy to see that Greenhorn is offering terrific specials where the non-member can enjoy a day on a quality course without having to sacrifice and arm and a leg. All and all, it was a wonderful day and I can't wait to return.
Pace
Extremely slow, waiting on every shot. Golfers in general need to be aware of what is going on. Pace of play was slow everywhere, why hit the ball while the group in front is hitting a shot. You are going to still wait the same amount of time.
Great overall course. Not too challenging, not too easy. Will go again
Course condition
Loved the course except the sand traps which had no sand and mostly mud. Will not return without checking on their condition….
This resort is one of our favourites
5 trips to Greenhorn from Vancouver Canada. Love the location, surrounding beauty, Course conditions, court challenges and of course the wonderful Camps Restaurant.
Great Course!!!
100% will be back ! greens were true to putts and the course was looking beautiful! Definitely a challenge course from the tips for the experienced golfer!
This course has an outstanding layout. Was in excellent condition, maintenance is top notch. Signs for routing could be more legible from a cart. Greens are very difficult unless you have prior experience or get paired with someone with local knowledge. Played this course obe week after playing Poppy Hills which had very difficult reads. These greens were comparable, excrpt they tended to be slow, wheras Poppy were fast. Overall this course was a very good test.
Great course in the foot hills.
We love playing this course. It is a fun track and always in good shape. My only complaint would be the pace of play. A little over 5 hours and a Friday afternoon seems like to long. Perhaps a Marshall could be inserted to keep the slower groups moving.
Good times
Greenhorn golf course was in good shape at the time of our round. The recent aeration of the greens did not slow the greens much (small diameter punch). The course for some reason always beats me up, but I enjoy the challenge. I carry a 14.5 handicap and will continue visiting the course to someday post a respectable score. Until the next time the course still has my number and it is a big number.
The restaurant Camps provides great place to eat and have a drink following your round. The food is good the staff is excellent.
I will have the anticipation of the next round being that great round, until then I will be thinking what could’ve been.
Great course
They had just needle punched the course but the greens were very good. I got a hot deal and used a monthly 10$. $38 to ride on a Friday! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
