Great course for a good price
We played after 3pm and had a lot of fun. No waiting time, every 10 min a flight went. Good greens and fairways. Well done, I played this course 4 years ago and it is in a much better condition now!
Lovely course
We had a great time playing this course. Enough challenges which made it fun.
Fast, sloping greens, well kept fairways. Anything off the fairways is 50-50 lying in dirt or scrub grass
Great Day on a great course.
Part of the Pebble Beach company without the typical pocket gripping price. Staff and personal treat you just like they do at the other Pebble Beach courses. Highly recommend a visit.
Love DM!
Amazing course. Greens and fairways were amazing. Few areas in the rough that need some love. Value for the money is amazing though!
Bad Timing
The greens were in recovery mode with being punched and sanded a couple of weeks ago. Super Bumpy and a lot of sand to deal with. Very firm, never had to fix a ball mark all day, and Augusta fast. If you were above the hole good luck.... I wish they would have informed me about this when I made the tee time. I really like the golf course but won’t come back for a while until the greens recover.
Question
I mistakenly scheduled this reservation. It was supposed to be for a week later so I did not show up. Can I get a credit for the unused 2 rounds of golf?
Tell me they have punched greens
Nice course with some nice longer holes. A lot of the par 4s are straight and short. Back nine a bit more challenging.
Two issues. Wish it would have indicated that greens punched 10-14 d prior. Still pretty bumpy. Made downhill putts random when it slowed down at hole.
Second- it was the hottest day of the week, u seasonable 85 deg! The water jug was dry on hole 13 or so. Staff should have monitored and filled it.
Traditional Course With Flat Fairways and Small Fast Greens
Nice course but fairly boring tee to green. From 100 yards and in a nice test. Restaurant closed. Played as a single and starter added me in 2 hours earlier than my tee time, which I appreciated. Pace was slow. A bit overpriced for the course, though my companions made it worth it -- two professional caddies who called this their "home course."
Fun course great staff
We had a great time! We were greeted by super friendly staff upon arrival and also when we pulled in after our round. Greens had recently been aerated, so couldn’t say how the greens normally are. We rode, but it is a very walkable course. Will definitely be back.
Well kept, well established, value, warm-up course
Not withstanding the recent aerations and very sandy greens, this was a fun little course.in a very well established neighborhood (read old). Fairways were immaculate, tee boxes good, Greens will come in well by say, mid April. Sand traps thin but well kept. There are only 150 yard markers on the sides of the fairways - step off your distances. Range finders do not work well in the fog which was the case during my play (very foggy). There is no driving range or chipping green for warm up. The snack bar/restaurant is closed, but the beverage cart comes around regularly. Signage between holes is pretty good. The rental push carts are a hazard, they should be replaced. Without a front wheel you regularly find yourself digging the front of the push cart into the ground and you go tumbling over your cart. REALLY, these carts are hazardous. Use Golf Now for the best rates. Make your reservations for the afternoon in the Spring to avoid playing in the cold and/or thick fog.
Probablatic greens
The starter Roy gave an excellent overview and alert regarding the greens, super fast, if I was abouve the hole or sideways I could make only 10% of the putts. Secondarily after using golf now it cost $95, I was surprised at check in that I needed to pay for a cart, I expected that I prepaid, guess I missed that. All in all I’d recommend Blackhorse/Bayonet
