Course maintenance needs improving
The course is an enjoyable layout. Greens were in good shape. The biggest problem is leaf debris on the course. In some areas it is almost unplayable because balls cannot be found on the fairways amid the debris. The club needs to clean up the debris.
A cost-friendly pleasant round of golf
Staff are friendly and helpful. Pace of play was excellent, with members involved in a skins game allowing us to play through.
A course clearly suffering a slow and painful death
I’ve been to some poor public courses before. This semi-private course couldn’t hold a candle to those. My friend warned me they shouldn’t charge anyone to play there and she was correct.
Total lack of care and maintenance. Started when the pro shop handed me dirty worn unwashed balls in a ratty used plastic grocery bag.
Warm up facility was in the worst condition I’ve ever experience, chipping green was mostly bare dirt and the “sand bunker” was full of weeds and if you were lucky, maybe a patch of dirt.
Putting green always in good condition
Fairways were admittedly not horrible, fairway bunkers like asphalt and green so hard impossible to stick a ball.
On the turn the 10th hole had 10 carts backed up as the starter totally lost control of pace.
Avoid the cheap fees and spend a few more bI JA and avoid this nonsense they are trying to pass off as a golf course.
Indian palms
Bunkers were in rough shape and the greens were patchy. People were nice. Clubhouse needs work with more product in the pro shop..
Over Priced
I expected a lot more from a so called resort course.
The manager insisted I did not have a reservation and there were no tee times at 11:18 until I gave her my first name. Turned out there was an 11:18 tee time under my name. Apparently golf now only provides the course with the first name of the golfer. I got a bucket of range balls but as soon as I stepped out the door the starter told us we were on the tee, although it was twenty minutes before our tee time. The starter did allow us to tee off at our scheduled tee time. The marshal warned us numerous times to speed up even though we had to wait for the group in front at every tee. To help out we joined the couple in front of us, but we we got to the 10th tee there were 7 groups in front of us.
The fairways were thin the grass looked as though it had been thatched. The greens had ball marks and the roll was inconsistent. Cannot recommend this course. .
Good value for money.
Layout is ok. Course maintenance is subpar. Greens are below average.
3x 9 hole courses - Mountain course conditions OK - Indian course conditions terrible
First off, the rating scale provided at the begging of this survey, does not allow for a fair assessment of the Club House, property and staff, up front. On entry to the course property and club house, was impressed. This place was built in 1947. Staff were very friendly. The course layout is relatively tight with homes and trees lining the fairways. The first 9 hole course called Mountain Course, I’d rate a 3 of 5. Greens were receptive, and approachable, fairways hard, so lots of roll. Second 9 was the Indian Course, first couple holes, conditions and green a (3) rating, but from everything after — from layout, blind holes to greens that would not hold a shot, would get a (1) rating. After our round, the beer and service was very good. The Mountain Course works for seniors wanting to get their winter swing in place, I would not play the Indian.. my overall rating would have to be. 2 1/2 stars.
Just OK
For the price it’s not bad. Pace of play was excellent.
Gordo
Last year this course was awful. It is much improved this year. They have a long way to go yet but much progress has been make.
