The 11th is a TOUGH par-4 with great elevation and a false fronted green. Use enough club! Photo submitted by greebs on 07/20/2020

Yes, the 18th is a par-3. Get over it, and enjoy yet another perfect hole to finish your round. Photo submitted by greebs on 07/20/2020

The par-4 14th. A great example of what makes this course special. Notice the hillocks and hummocks on the left side of the fairway. Otherwise, this would be a mundane hole, but this addition collects tee shots and makes the approach interesting. Photo submitted by BrandonWebb on 08/12/2017

Makenzie called the par-4 16th the greatest two-shotter in the world, largely due to the three-tiered green. No room for error long, short or right. Photo submitted by BrandonWebb on 08/12/2017

From behind the 11th green, one of the most difficult par 4s I've ever played. Requires two-to-three clubs up on approach. Photo submitted by BrandonWebb on 08/12/2017

If you are wondering if this course is worth it, stop. It is. They could charge way more. They don’t need no -member play. We are all lucky to play it. Just pay up, say thank you, and ENJOY.
A Must Play
We've been meaning to play Pasatiempo for a few years, but the course remodel delayed us. Fortunately, 2025 was the year! It's a great track! The greens had recently been punched and sanded, but they were still in really good condition. If you get above the hole...forget about it! As a threesome, we had 9 3-putts but that would have been considerable more if the greens were running faster. I'd definitely play here again. Post round drinks on the patio over looking the 18th green were amazing!!!
Tough greens
Luckily paired up with a member who played several times a week who could explain why the greens were rolling like they were. The rate I booked on GN was a walking rate and had to pay another $45 to use the riding cart. Crazy ridiculous charge. This was a one and done course for me. It wasn't as scenic as I though it was going to be.
One of the best courses you’ll ever play
Amazing course. Loved every hole. I put it up there with Cal Club, Olympic Club, Cordevalle and SF Golf Club. Those are tremendous courses and all private. My friend happily knocked this one off his bucket list. Great day, great golf course.
A Classic
Playing this course once is not enough. Great layout, tricky greens and very walkable make this a must play on all our Pebble Beach trips. Cost has creeped up over the years is the only negative.
Back nine green is world class
I came back to play after the renovation. There is not much change for the front nine. The back nine green is heavily contoured and 18th green is also a multi-tiered green with added deep bunker at front. 18th hole can be a deciding hole for a lot competition. A must played course for golf lover.
Pasatiempo
Excited to play because of architect (MacKenzie) and history. A couple quirky holes, a good set of par threes, and #16 is unbelievable, esp. the green! a one and done oppotunity for me!
Wow
Amazing course, amazing layout, amazing condition and stunningly amazing ocean views. Go play it!

Great Course Horrible Pace of Play
This course is highly overrated given the $400 price tag. Cart path only for starters made this long round even longer. Putting 5 pack members in front of us made it unbearable. When we complained to the pro shop at the turn, their response was “they are members”. When we complained to the marshal we were told that they were playing on pace despite our GPS saying we were 24 minutes behind pace. The course itself was in great shape. The greens were hard and fast and the bunkers were raked and groomed and very consistent. If it were not for the pace of play, the arrogant 5 pack members 2 holes behind that refused to let us play through, it would had been a great round.
