Horrible experience
I played golf at this course on Wednesday with three colleagues from my team. After finishing, I accidentally left my rangefinder on the golf cart. I had written my name and phone number on it in large black permanent marker specifically to make it easy to identify in situations like this.
I called the following day and was told the rangefinder had been found. However, when I called again the next day to arrange pickup, I was told it could no longer be located. I’ve also sent an email to follow up but haven’t received a response.
Given that I parked the cart directly next to—or nearly inside—the cart barn, there seems to be only one reasonable explanation for what might have happened. Really unfortunate circumstance, considering that this was the first golf course I ever played when I was seven years old. I’ve been in the golf business for the last 20 years and I’ve never heard of anything like this. One would think the golf course would like to help but not at this place.
Not Worth the Price of Admission
I have played this course over 10 times now, and with them recently increasing the pricing this past year this course is officially off my playing radar. This is my local course, and the pricing matches that of a high end course, however the conditions of the course, with untrimmed grass, muddy patches on the fairways, as well as chewed up tee boxes, this course is not worth the price of admission.
If you are willing to pay 10-15 dollars more you can play at much nicer courses (Crossings, Twin Oaks, Native Oaks, etc.) Until the course is brought up to the rate that they charge you to play, unfortunately I will not be coming back
Course Needs some Attention
I have played this course over a hundred times over the past 30 years. I have always enjoyed the layout, forces you to use almost every club in your bag. The bummer part is they don't put the money into making the course a 4 or 5 star experience. Simple things like mowing the rough so you don't lose golf balls that were hit 10 yards left or right of the fairway. A few of the cart baths are so broken up that our drinks bounced out of the drink holders. I hate to say it, but this is my last round at this course until they fix the items mentioned above. There are too many other courses that for $10 to $25 more offer a much better experience.
Layout grows on me
The golf now deal was great value. I like the layout the more I play the course. Some really nice holes and only a few wonky ones . Greens and fairways in great shape except for a some over watering or drainage issues on a few fairways. Kukuya rough as always a challenge. Vibe around the range and bar areas really cool. Will be back.
Good not Great
Greens were in good shape, but they haven't mowed the rough in a while, the rough was not only long but over watered.. My buddy and I lost multiple balls that were not more than ten feet off the fairway. It's a great price for a course that requires every club in the bag. If they just mowed the rough and fixed the bumpy cart paths they'd provide a much better experience.
Good course, needs work
The restrooms have been broken on the course for some time. No portajohns. This needs to be fixed. No ball washers at some of the holes, although there are poles for them. Conditions of some greens were rough. Cart girl doesn't tend to come around much until you're near the turn when it's not needed.
Good enough for enjoying golf
Course is not so challenging. Good for freshmen and intermediate player.
But it is popular course in San Diego and golf game is slowly moved forward because the tee time interval is very short. And rough is not so good for management. Others are all good!
