Friendly staff
Friendly staff but still suffering from storm damage. The 18th hole green has damaged as if some drove across it making for a tough putt
HAC
The course is in great condition but it’s still drying out form previous rain storms. Therefore, it was cart path only on all holes played.
Slow play
Took 4 hours to play the 1st 14 holes due to a painfully slow ladies foursome in front
Playing the swamp
I don't know why they were even open, many of the fare ways had standing water and it was cart path only so you had to walk through extremely soaked areas. It was not golf and not fun for me or the out of state visitor from Ohio I was paired with. I was considering contacting the course manager and ask for a comp round when the course is in better condition.
Complete Trash
Don't waste your money. Not worth half of what they charge. Absolutely no drainage. Puddles and marked of area taking up 70% of fairways. Hidden water/mud you'll loseyour shoe in. And retards who take 15 minutes to hit their ball to top it off. Couldn't pay me to play here again and i used to love the course.
St Mark's exec
Got HotDeal off GolfNow and used voucher with that.
Foursome of seniors. Cart rental was extra. Had rained previous couple of days, so "cart path only". More walking around than preferred looking for errant shots....but understandable. Pace of play was good. Completed round in 3 1/2 hrs. Enjoyed food & beverage after round. Menu was limited for appetizers, but quality of good was good.
Overall a good experience.
Totally water logged
Course was not really playable. Fairways had puddles everywhere. Wish I didn’t play. Who wants to pay for cart that can’t leave the path and trudge through mud with the wrong club and try to find their ball amongst the 1ft high rough scattered with plant debris?
Feel ripped off
Played on the 31st and was VERY disappointed with the condition of the course. Many of the fairways we unplayable due to standing water, paid 24.00 for a golf cart when it was cart path only and ruined a good pair of golf shoes. Golf shoes are designed to be water repellent not water proof and there was too much swampy water. I've played there lots of times, really enjoy the course but it should not be open for play until there is no standing water in the fairways.
It's a wet winter in San Diego - course is soaked
The rains stopped 10 to 14 days ago, but the course is saturated. There are palettes being used as bridges from the cart path to the fairway. There's casual water on many holes.
The greens were in good shape and the rough, not surprisingly, was growthy, as it's nearly impossible to mow.
Don't wear your good shoes. This was Jan 27 and more rain was expected Jan 29 and 30 and again later in the week. These wet conditions should persist into March at least.
Nice cuorse but waterlogged
I really like the layout. Many tricky holes.
Good value .
Unfortunately right now the back 9 is unplayable. So much boggy ground. You even lose balls in the middle of the fairway and the rough is long because they can't cut it , the grounds too soft to run the mower over I would imagine.
Poor condition due to rain
the rain really affected the course, it was a swamp.
But this should be addressed the the customer,
Please speed up
You were very strict about carts on paths but let slow social golfers plod along all day . Please reinforce speed as well
wet course
Course should be closed for a week, so much water and muck, you are lucky to hit the ball without a splatter of mud on yourself. Middle of the course in the fairways was worse than the rough, so soggy.
Soggy bottom boys
Not really playable at this time. Too much water on course.. should have closed temporarily. This course has drainage problems in normal conditions appears groundskeeper got overruled. It’ll be interesting to see what happens to course.conditions down the road. Ounce of prevention, pound of cure. . Anyway wear a beater pair of spikes leather. My partners wore tennis style and were soaked. Wait to play and before you do ask someone coming off 9 or 18 about conditions before you pay.
