It’s ok
Everyone I encountered was very friendly, great staff. Where do I start. The minute we stepped on the first tee box I said “.this isn’t good” Almost every tee box was in need of a complete re build, a lot of bare spots and dirt. The members we played with were great company. The rough was something you didn’t want to be in. Although I think that’s how Bermuda grass is. I had not seen so many wet spots on almost every hole, aren’t we in a drought here in California. Now to the greens. They were fairly quick with breaks that one did not see at all. The greens looked very bad as it appeared that the golfers who play there don’t know what fixing ball marks is all about. Our 9 hole muni in Tahoe has way better greens than St Mark. Needless to say they won’t be seeing us ever again.
Price Mismatch!
The app advertises 18 holes but you’re only paying for and playing just 9 holes, and you can’t even change it at the clubhouse. Probably not worth using this app for this particular course.
A Favorite But….
Our favorite short course but sadly it’s not getting the maintenance attention it deserves. It’s beyond starting to get rundown. They need to get the fungus off the greens. It was once ranked #22 in Golf Advisor’s Top 100 Short Courses. We’ll still go back but it needs something more than a good watering.
Great
The staff is always very friendly. We golf there often as we love the layout and the conditions.
Poor greens
I’ve played here for years and this was the first time the greens on at least 4 holes were in bad shape. The 18th hole was in the worst condition
Nice par 3
I’ve played this course many times
It consistent in value , conditions
Great iron practice course
St. Mark hits the mark!
Great staff, great vibe, great grill, great greens. MGF-(Mandatory Golf Friday). You always get a warm welcome at the pro-shop before the round, good pace of play and course during the round, and a fantastic grill/bar after the round. They definitely hit the mark!
Excellent Value
Course has a very nice layout with challenging slopes and elevation changes. very well maintained fairways and greens. Slow pace was due to a high school girls match going on at the course. Otherwise great course and will definitely be back.
Great Course
Played here for the first time this past weekend. Course was in good condition and loved the unique layout. Only issue was a random group cut in front of us after a few holes and despite calling it in to the club house/Marshall, nothing was done about the situation. Round would have gone by much faster if this had not happened. Regardless, will definitely play again.
Tee boxes need work
Course was great except for the tee boxes. Price seems a bit high to be teeing off from dirt on a ton of holes. Besides that everything else was great
Super fun
It was an epic battle between two long time friends and ended with him beating me by 2 strokes, the course is always fun
