Good layout, fun course
The course is fun to play and in good condition. Good mixture of relatively difficult and easier holes. Greens were soft and the fairways were in very good shape.
Very disappointing
I’ll bet this was a nice track 20 years ago. Not so much today. They had some rain which made things worse. Rough was unplayable, greens had many diseased areas, cart paths were broken badly. Green fees were low and pace of play was good. Probably a reflection of the horrible conditions. I won’t be back.
We played it a month ago and the greens were in great condition. Yesterday there must have been 25 pitch marks on every green. Very disappointing
Hottest day of the year
It was pretty hot and sultry. People departed early and thus not many golfers in the course. We were cruising the course smoothly. The bad part was that there are too many no cart zones. It was very annoying as we don't have any idea where the no cart zone was and cart didn't move if we are in there by chance.
Great fun course
Very good deal for the price, friendly staff, course is about a 7/10 condition, fun layout , would play weekly if I could .
Another round at St Mark
This is a reliable executive course. It has four Par 4s and lots of terrain and no water after the first half mile.
It's a fun course - 2:45 to play 18
Great layout
Pace of play seemed slow, but we still fininshed in 4 hours.
Best greens .
I’m the only verified women to get a hole in one right handed in 2003 and hole in one left handed 2018 in Gaylord Michigan.
A Walk in the Park
Another good round at SMEC. Weather was hot but quick pace of play made the difference. Walked 18 holes in 2.25 hours. Club house was under construction.
(Almost) Everything is Great about this Course
We return here weekly because it is a great layout and in great shape…except for the hard pan bunkers. They need to put new sand in them, however other than that it is the premiere short course in the county.
Good value
The front nine is showing heavy traffic, long dry summer, gotta fluff in fairway on a few holes… few greens front 9 have some small dead spots but not horrible by any means.
Back 9 in fabulous shape. They should flip the 9s periodically to get a more sustainable overall course conditions.
Pace of play was average, I’ve had better there. But I golf in afternoons so it’s a crap shoot.
Staff has always been kind to me there, not a member so that says a lot and credit them and management.
