St. Mark Hits the Mark !!!
I love St. Mark. I've been playing here the last 1.5 years and have never had a bad experience. The course is always in good shape. The carts are nice. Love the bar and grill area. The bathrooms are clean. The staff is SO friendly (shout out to bartender Jared and cart girl Kirsten). I feel like the price is fair for the good experience you get at St. Mark....definitely my favorite course in North County.
Course Is Discriminatory
Drove down from Orange County to play a round with friends today. There was no one in front of us and a group of 7 followed by a group of 5 four holes behind us. There were 6 of us and we weren’t holding anyone up, following proper golf etiquette, and keeping really good pace so we decided to play together.
On hole 9 by the clubhouse, the manager comes out on the patio and yells at us to split apart, so we did, into a foursome and a double. A group of six white men drive by and nothing is said to them…
As we continue to play, a man comes by in a golf cart and talks to both of our groups separately, saying they take golf “seriously” around here. He continues to go past us to the next hole and hides behind a tree and watches our group. Keep in mind, there’s a group of 7 and a group of 5 being extremely rowdy and holding people up four holes behind us.
This obviously ruins the atmosphere of our round so I drive up to the clubhouse and the guy and the manager are there talking. Turns out the guy who was stalking us DOESN’T EVEN WORK HERE. His name is Martin and he’s a “local” that terrorizes women of color. Martin claims there was a shortage on carts meanwhile he’s on a cart by himself stalking our group when he didn’t even pay for a round.
It’s a reallyyyyy bad look for how this place is run when you’re letting a local terrorist of a man named Martin discriminate against people of color and letting him run amuck on the course stalking groups. Highly would not recommend this place.

Nice course
Always in great shape but there was a group of 8 playing at the same time. I understand it’s was a birthday but we were told we couldn’t play 5.
Decent course
Course was in a good shape, but the tee areas were somewhat beat up with a lot of bare spot. There were also no level area. The practice range is adjacent to the 1st and 10th holes with no fence. There were dozens of range balls on these 2 fairways which means that you can easily get hit by errant practice shots.
New member
Play here quite often so I decided to join. Friendly staff, good practice area and good food. Very convenient for me and would recommend playing here. Greens are good, one complaint is I believe the greens keeper keeps it to wet and the communist golf carts that stop you from going everywhere, even for normal proper cart etiquette..
Otis
Everything is great except the bunkers which are not sand but rather compacted DG which is impossible to hit out of.
Great conditions
Course was great conditions and was very easy to walk also easy to play not losing any balls. The sand bunkers need to be redone but that’s it. Greens were decent speeds and predictable.
Might be my new fav!
I have only been golfing for a couple of years and not consistently. It was just the right amount of difficulty for me. The pace of play was perfect even know the course was very busy. The clubhouse has been nicely redone and the staff and service were excellent! There were a couple of rough spots on the greens, besides that no complaints.
Very enjoyable round
I’ve played several times here.and course and staff have always been top notch. Greens were a bit slow today but that was due to punching a few weeks ago.. pace of play here is very good the majority of the time at 3.5 to 4 hours on weekdays.
Golf carts
Shortage of carts...several groups had to wait for carts.
Appears there was a ladies club playing and no carts were avaiable.
