Difficult but scorable
I came in overly confident and didn't give the course the respect I should've. Otherwise an awesome facility, course and time was had by all.
Greens too soft
All greens had/have lots of spike, ball damage due to surface being so soft??
Puts look like the 4x4 to the hole.
Course was worth driving over an hour to play it.
The course was in excellent shape considering the drought conditions we have in California. The course was challenging when playing the course for the first time. Definitely a course we would like to play again when we return to the area.
Birthday Surprise
Surprised my sweetheart with a golf day and we spent the night too. We have lived in Ventura County for most of our lives and we had never been here. 20 minutes from home for us. Treat yourself and go. We had a great experience from start to end. Only wish we had stayed longer. Everyone was so great and the atmosphere at the resort was so relaxed. Everywhere we went they were wishing my Husband a "Happy Birthday". He felt so Special. The weather was great, warm with rain that evening. We had a deer run across one of the holes we were on too. Loved our time at the Inn!!!
Great experience
Course empty, greens fabulous, rest of the course good. Will be back next time in the area.
Fantastic course and service
Final stop on my trip from SD to Monterey. Tough to say which was my favorite between here, La P, and Bayonet. I got a great deal on Golfnow so had to pull the trigger. I was going to play Rancho Maria but the pro shop didn't want to work with me on the timing of my hotdeal. Side note, I get that golf courses despise hotdeals since they make no money off them but there is value in selling food/drinks plus reviews such as these.
Ojai treated me like any other guest, let me go off early and even mentioned that I could replay the holes that I skipped due to a slow foursome. They get customer service since while I golfed 27+ holes my new wife spent $250 on spa services.
I've played the course a couple of times but had forgotten the variety it presents. For some reason I remembered it being like La Costa but it is actually much more like Aviara and Maderas. At $40 it was a steal even if the temp was pushing 100. Looking forward to heading back in the future.
Great play
The course and staff was absolutely fantastic. The reason we played this round of golf was due to the discount rate of golf now. It would be a stretch to pay $180 for that round. Overall though, fantastic.
Ojai Delight
What a picture perfect setting and excellent playing conditions and value. While this was my first time playing it won't be my last. Set in a beautiful resort the course was lush and well manicured. The tips played about 6200 yards but the layout was challenging. The screens were soft and true.
Top Notch Experience
All of the course staff were friendly and accomodating. The course and surrounding areas are beautiful. I highly recommend playing at Ojai Valley Inn. I stayed at the resort too, unfortunately for only one night. Outstanding resort.
Golf like it was in 1975.
Played two rounds at the course. Didn't wait once on a shot. The conditions were perfect, the staff was great. It was the nicest two days of golf I've had in the past 20 years.
The sure joy of playing golf returned to me during my stay.
GREAT COURSE
A+ EXPERIENCE, I HAD 3 FRIENDS VISITING FROM OUT OF TOWN EVERYONE SAID IT WAS THE BEST COURSE THEY PLAYED THIS YEAR.
A GREAT BARAGIN THROUGH GOLFNOW
THANKS

Great condition
After getting rained out last time after 9 we were looking forward to playing again. The course was in awesome shape and more gorgeous than ever. What drought? Lush and green as could be. One of my favorite rounds ever and I have played some great tracks. We played on a Wednesday and there were maybe 20 people on the course. Very highly recommended!! DB
Always a treat
The course isn't long by any means, but it forces you to be a shot maker and that's where the difficulty comes into play. My struggle here is out of the rough which is "sticky" and your ball rests on top of 4inch plus thick rough. Enjoy your round
Great day of golf!
We thoroughly enjoyed our golf round at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. We arrived early for our 12:30 tee time and after hitting some balls at the range, the starter allowed us to start early. We played the round in about 3.5 hours. This is a beautiful course with gorgeous vistas. It was well worth the trip to Ojai. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great day of golf!
George C Thomas jewel in Ojai
My friends and I love this facility . The Inn , the spa , the restaurants , the staff and the golf are all excellent in one of America ' s most beautiful settings .
It was hot , but we knew it would be . We live nearby .
The only negative the whole day was we never saw a beverage cart the entire front nine . We had gone thru the complimentary waters provided and were thirsty by the 5th / 6th hole .
Meantime , the long time starter at the course is Jim .
He is a gentlemen . Always good to see him .
beautiful resort and course
first time playing ojai and loved it!!! staff was super friendly and encouraged us to start earlier than our tee time so we could have a faster round.
loved the course. in beautiful shape. the greens were immaculate and consistent.
can't wait to go back!
Course in great shape!
First time playing track, and going back soon! Everything about course was great. We played on an off day I think, so course was empty.
Nice Course Slow Pace
Nice resort course in excellent condition . Very busy though and not easy to walk , even from cart path to area around greens . Old guys in front three groups deep on 5 hour plus pace . Left after nine . Will try againbut not on weekend.
Great course even on a bad day!
Our foursome thanks to golf now, was able to enjoy a round of golf at Ojai Valley Inn without breaking the bank. (What a savings) Fairways and greens were in great shape, pace of play was 4.15. We have to thank the ojai golf staff members that stocked ice box with apples. Great idea on warm day, the apples were cold, crisp and sweet. If you're a nature lover you'll enjoy the deer, grazing as you hit your shot too the greens. So beautiful can't wait until next visit to Ojai Valley inn.
Smoothie....
Hidden Gem
If you have never played golf at the Ojai Valley Inn you are missing out. The greens were in great shape, the fairways were awesome. We played 18 holes in 3 and a half hours and had a great time. I can't wait to go back.
