Oh My, Ojai
Great overall experience
Planning to bring the whole family next time for a staycation
Thank you GolfNow for posting such a great deal!
coming back
beautiful course in wonderful shape wish i could play it every day
Wonderful Experience
Returned to Ojai after many years to find a vastly improved facility and the classic course. The Staff was very friendly, pace was great and the Thomas designed course was in very good shape. The Hot Deal Rates make it a bargain at this upscale resort. My only criticism is the travelling Food Cart. Although they offer a wide selection of snacks, the overpriced sandwiches are as inedible as they were 20 years ago. Given that Jimmy's is a terrific 19th Hole pub, this is inexcusable. Otherwise, a wonderful day.
Good Condition Now
We played this course right after covid opened up last year and it was in terrible shape. This year they got it back in good shape. The scorecard is hokey with the forward tees next to the score, but it's a great traditional course. We play there at least once a year. Good staff.
Great greens
Course. Was in great shape
Fairways nice and very playable
The greens fast but true and hold shots well
Bringing back my boys soon
Ojai Valley Inn
First time playing this course. Overall it was a nice layout and challenging course. The drawback was that the driving range was in poor condition, as hitting off dirt makes it difficult to warm up. If this is the condition of the driving range, I would advise to put mats down. Also, most of the front nine tee boxes were in poor shape. This did change on the back nine. The fairways were in good condition, along with the greens. Overall, I would recommend this course and I would paly it again, but most likely in the winter, as hopefully tee boxes would be in better shape
Great Experience
The Ojai Valley Inn golf course was fun, challenging and beautiful. The staff was great. The greens were immaculate and true. We played in less than four hours and took our time. Music neat the 13th tee was a nice touch. We will be back.
Nice course but overpriced
The course was nice but the price they charge is way more then the course is worth playing.. Parking is unfriendly unless you get one of the ten spots near the starter but very unlikely. So you drop your bag off and park about 1/4 - 1/2 a mile away and walk back in your golf shoes on concrete and asphalt. This is where they blow it for the amount they charge they should have shuttle just for golfers walking and pick them up or send a shuttle to follow you when you go park to bring you back.
Fun in the sun
I’ve been in the area for a year now and finally had an opportunity to play this course. It was a lot of fun and a good challenge. The greens were a bit bumpy but very consistent throughout. The course is very short so it gives you an opportunity to play a lot of different shots.
My only complaint is that it is not well marked. It was difficult finding the driving range, never found a putting green, 1st tee and 10th tee were well hidden and parking was a hike away.
Now that I have the lay of the land, I will be back.
The Staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a good time and got us out a little early. Everything seems to be going great until we got to the 18th hole when they shortened it around the women’s tee. Are use the blue tees and my partner uses the white so when we got to the 18th. TeeIt was anti-climatic it was short due to An event
Held in the barn I don’t know if this is standard practices every time they have an event but when I came down to a good day a 300 yard par 18 meant nothing.
Good times
We had a great time until we got to the 18th hole , where they shortened it way down almost to a par three do to and event at the BARN. There is always events at the BARN so I don’t know if this is a standard procedure. It made it a very anti-climatic ending when are used to teeing off from the blues now you’re teeing off from almost the Reds if not shorter very disappointed
