About Pacific Palms Resort
Pacific Palms Resort is billed as "LA's hilltop hideaway", the only full-service luxury golf and conference resort in Los Angeles County. The setting of the 292-room hotel and two golf courses by William F. Bell and Casey O'Callaghan is set against the San Gabriel Valley Mountains. Live music and jazz sets the mood at the Red Restaurant and Bar. The Industry Hills Golf Club's Eisenhower and Zaharias courses have been upgraded over the years with new turf and infrastructure, but their historical layouts remain unchanged.Facts

Babe
The course was somewhat challenging, you need to have someone in your group spot your ball in case you aren't on the fairway. Greens were fast, your short game should be on otherwise scoring here would be tough. Need to go back when my short game is decent and play it again to see if I can score in the mid or low80's.
Best golf
Not crowded... greens roll nice... finished in 4 hours.... great value for the money
Course overall
The course should have someone managing the starting time of the first tee. Some individuals are not on time, causing delays. Long par 3s should be moved up to improve the pace of play. They were two groups stacked up on the par threes, which ended up slowing down the rounds.
Sub-par conditions
- $99 is fine including the cart, but not for those conditions. The fairways were torn up, muddy, patchy, and diseased. The tee boxes were often sloped or in average condition. Bunkers are a joke, completely flooded or otherwise no top sand. The only decent part was the greens, although speed varied and pin positions were tricky and often on a severe slope.
- Food and drinks are expensive here, especially the bev cart.
- Slow pace of play (5hr round at 9am)
- Amenity wise there’s a couple putting greens and chipping areas which are nice, but the range is just dirt.
- Many other courses in the area that are better maintained for the price.
Nice Course, but too hard
The course was in decent condition since it just rained. But I would just say it’s the hardest course I’ve ever played. And I’ve played a good amount of tough courses. It’s very narrow off the tees, and the greens are hard to get a feel for. Just be ready for a challenge
Challenging and great views
The course is pretty challenging.
Target Golf
First time playing here. Conditions are okay for winter golf, tees are pretty chewed up, and the fairways are really tight, and lots of dead grass, bunkers were soaked and had puddles, but the greens were amazing.
Play up a tee here if you can, I’d you’re out of position you’re severely penalized, lots of hazards, and danger everywhere.
I’m gonna give this course a fair shake again in the spring, but nothing to write home about at the moment.
Great Course
Playing in this course is an amazing experience. Had a great time.
