Punched greens
Babe is punched and Ike is being punched soon. Ball still rolls but wouldn't pay full price rn.
Good course
Pace of play was good and course was tough but great condition
Worst condition ever
We played IKE in Feb, the fairway condition is like 50% than normal quality! This is a shame that BABE course is lie 20% ta regular condition! There is no grass on fairway , dirty stuff around green and bunker, lousy course , not even worth for $10 round
The Babe
Course is always tough. However, the greens were aerated and there was no mention on Golf Now or by the pro shop when we checked in. There was no discount fees.
The greens will be good in a week or two but some sort of consideration would have been appreciated.
Poor Conditions embarrassing
I put together a group of 8 guys from our
country Club. the location of the course is very nice.
the facilities are beautiful . The personal and waitresses were the Best. BUT the fairways and the golf course was in poor shape. The fairways and Tee boxes were dry and bare with a lot areas that were just dirt and hardpan. the bunkers were rock hard. instead of sand traps they were dirt traps with rocks. In fairness to the course they punched the greens 10 days before and that was publicized. Poor conditions at best. they need help.
What happened?!
Between the Ike and the Babe course, Industry used to be one of the absolute best places to play golf in the area, but unfortunately, the Babe course has just completely lost its vigor over the last couple years. The greens were aerated, which we knew going in, so no big deal there, but the fairway/rough/et al were in absolutely horrid condition compared to what this course used to be. It is such a fun track, and in its heyday, it’s even more preferable than Ike, but this track just isn’t what it used to be. In current conditions, it isn’t worth the price of admission. I hope it can get back to a semblance of what it once was, because it’s a heck of a course.
Hated it !
Not great conditions.
Fairways not well kept.
They said the greens were seeded… but it worse than that.
Over priced for the quality of the course.
Very disappointed.
Criminals!!!
It is absolutely beyond me how Two of the Very Best Golf Courses Anywhere in the WORLD have ended up like THIS! It is absolutely CRIMINAL! People should be held accountable for raping a golf club dry and never even putting one thin dime into it to keep it up. We see this time and again, but to a California Monument? WOW!!!
My son and I were devastated by the atrocious conditions.
It wasn't the money, or the fact that the greens were punched and sanded three days prior at all.
They claim to have 1400 members, but I would not be proud to call this home. In fact I ran into a few of my old buddies and we were discussing this very thing. I did notice in our discussions that heir heads were hung pretty low. Really SAD!
Terribly Disappointed
Heard about this course for years and looked forward to playing the course. Conditions of the course is sad. Absolutely neglected! I feel like I wasted my time and money. Pass on this place if you want to hit your ball off of grass.
The Ike show signs of low to no maintenance
The price to play the Ike is still reasonable in comparison to similar courses in Socal. However the course has dramatically taken a downturn from let say 5-6 years ago. Considering the time of year some things are expected but brown patchy fairways, ball mark ridden greens and bare tee boxes...not to mention cartpaths need serious resurfacing. Although the course layout is spectacular, it's becoming a average course sad to say. Hope management will get their act together and get the two courses back to premium status...
