About Pacific Palms Resort
Pacific Palms Resort is billed as "LA's hilltop hideaway", the only full-service luxury golf and conference resort in Los Angeles County. The setting of the 292-room hotel and two golf courses by William F. Bell and Casey O'Callaghan is set against the San Gabriel Valley Mountains. Live music and jazz sets the mood at the Red Restaurant and Bar. The Industry Hills Golf Club's Eisenhower and Zaharias courses have been upgraded over the years with new turf and infrastructure, but their historical layouts remain unchanged.Facts

We love this course
We love this course.
Only 1 problem is too difficult to book tee time, Everyone wants to play
Challenging but great track
Played the Eisenhower (Ike) course . The layout is really cool winding through the hills. Each hole is unique. The fairways and greens were all in great condition. The rough is punishing but fair. Great rollout on the thin cut fairways but beware of sand traps that lurk everywhere. The course is pretty long but you get great rollouts. The greens are the most challenging part of the course with severe undulations, multiple tiers, and fast speeds. Pace of play was slightly over 4 hours and we barely waited on any holes. While we had a foggy morning that limited a lot of our views once the sun came out, the views of the surrounding valley is amazing. The course is in winter shape but overall a really great track.
First hole on one
Foggy start. We played bond for the first 9 holes . Had to know the lay of the land or you were in trouble. Got my first hole in one on 14. Uphill par 3 playing 176 yards . Hybrid straight in . That was the highlight for sure for the day
slow slow slow
The last 3 rounds I played here were all over 5 hours. 5 hours being the fastest.
Cart malfunction
Our cart battery died in the 11th hole. We called in twice to get another cart delivered. No one ever showed up. The twosome we played with had to push our cart for 7 holes with theirs. Obviously those last 7 rounds were mot that enjoyable.
The other cart in our party also died on the 18th so we had to abandon that one and walk back. We never got a call or any type of update and the response back at the pro shop was a simple “sorry”. For the cost to play there, we expected a little more hustle and/or communication. Overall it’s a cool place to play. We’ve played there several times, but this last round kind of sucked and the 4 of us left a little frustrated.
Great Gem
I love this course ,restaurant, hotel… it’s all great.. courses are definitely challenging Ike harder then babe.. always love playing here must play
Treat
I've played Ike previously and feared Babe for sometime but what a gorgeous course. The par 3s are great especially 17. Can't wait to come back and shoot even worse.
it was one of my best course
I love the way designed the course was, and I would love to come back and play again.
Though I didn't get to finish the 18, it was definitely worth playing there.
Nice Course
This is the more fun of the two courses if you're an intermediate golfer like myself. Ike is just ridiculously long. A lot of strategy is needed on this course and course management is key. My only gripe is the $80 fee. It's a little pricey but I guess it helps attract only the clientele that know how to play at a good pace.
