Pala Mesa Resort

Go and enjoy excellent greens (soft and receptive), fluffy sand traps (except where sprinklers have dampened), level tee boxes, good fairways and thick rough. Many doglegs and California oak trees can be found. Pace of play was under 3.5 hours. Pleasant experience….

This was a regular course my friends and I played until recently acquired by Pala Casino. The increase in green fees was a turn off at first, but after some time it has proven to be beneficial. Upgraded driving range, state of the art golf carts, and by pushing away the people less willing to pay the price the conditions improved in the greens and fairways. I still believe this is a course that should be in the $80 range, especially with so many better options near by. Fun none the less.

Great friendly staff. Got a bucket of balls to hit at the driving range then hit my tee time early and had the Back nine to myself. Then played the front nine to myself until the 4 and 5th holes and really enjoyed playing this course.

Gardeners on every fairway, every green, and tee boxes were in tough shape. I was being followed by gardeners every hole and following some at the same time. I understand they’re doing their job, but on every hole??

The guy at the pro shop was rude and clearly didn’t want to be there, waited to check in for 15 minutes inside the pro shop while he hung out outside talking to his buddies.

Very unfortunate.

Late late afternoon green fee was more than reasonable pro Shop staff area professional and welcoming course in good shape definitely needed.You have prior knowledge to football in proper positions overall Very.

This is a very well maintained course. Greens are lush and perfectly manicured. Gorgeous scenery as well. Golf carts are the more comfortable type with sophisticated GPS. Excellent customer service in the Pro Shop. Not rushed on any of the holes. Course conditions were good.

We chose Pala Mesa as our first course for a week of southern California golf. The staff was super friendly. The course was in good condition with few exceptions. Although this course is close to the highway, you really don't notice it very much other than vehicle noise on a couple holes. Being used to flat lander golf in Kansas, the contours and elevation changes were a challenge but fun to deal with.

This was my first time here. One of best courses in the area. Bunkers were great. Course was in grrat shape, grrleen rolled true and were soft like i like them to be.

It is a challenging course with a few narrow fairways. An accurate tee shot will make your round. I unfortunately was not accurate today and the course punished me for it but I loved the challenge. I will for sure be back!

Last I played Pala Mesa was prior to Pala Casino purchasing the course. New owners have really invested in making improvements. Looks like they added 1 or 2 wells and the course is plush. Fairways are great and greens are so much better. The course is still same layout, but over all conditions are much improved!

The course was upgraded recently and its in very good shape. Its lush and green and plays long....if you're between two tee ratings I'd suggest the shorter option. New sand in the bunkers plays well, much improved over years past. Its a unique and challenging layout and worthy of more play.

I hope others take advantage of the late afternoon special - $49 after 3:00 so it continues past July. Its great for me since my skin no longer tolerates the mid-day sun.

This course used to cost $50 or $60 to play, and now they want $120 for a weekend round after 1pm?? Did anything drastically change from 2 years ago to now?
