Reviews
Great Greens
Greens and bunkers were great. Best I’ve seen the course.
Hello, u314162614416. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We see you rated the course 2-stars and are interested in learning what we can do to improve for your next visit.

Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing Pala Mesa Resort!
VIP (very inconsiderate people)
Club manager/starter decided to “insert” an extra tee time for VIPs just before my twosome. This created a 5 minute gap ONLY between tee times before and after this VIP foursome. Take note that this VIP 4some couldn’t even keep up with the elderly 4some in the front of them. VIPs also took their time at the turn. Pace of play was so dreadful that my single partner quit after the 15th hole. Otherwise the course is coming along quite nicely especially the fairways; inconsistent greens with visible recovering patchy areas; tee boxes and bunkers need work still. Don’t be a later group as you will have to wait for incoming carts!
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us, kanha19. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Pala Mesa Resort, and we hope to see you again in the future.

Fun course
My brother-in-law and I had a great day playing this challenging but fun course. We were paired with two local gentlemen who were delightful! Thanks!

Overpriced if you have a rider
I brought my 6 year old with me and had played here 3 other times with him and it was great (no fee). This time I was informed I had to pay a $25 rider fee. which I did since we were stuck (came from Carlsbad)
I'll pay a $10 fee or something but $25 is ridiculous. I won't come back unless this changes. Way nicer courses charge $10 for a rider! Over the top and we already were paying $70. Not worth it!

Loved Pala Masa
The layout was fun, challenging and had a good variety! The setting in the hills gave a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside.
The staff were exceptionally helpful.

Great place to play
The staff is very friendly I have a great time every time I play there sometimes pace of play slows down a lot. Courses kept up very well some greens are a little bit worse than others but for the most part for the value it is great.
Hello, Elgin9293596. Thank you for visiting us at Pala Mesa Resort. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Fairways non existent
The course was in OK shape but the fairways were nonexistent. There was no difference between the rough and the fairways they really need to do something about that I won’t play it again until that’s rectified
Hi, pmarelly! Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We value our customer experience, so your review is important to us. We will make note and we hope to see you back at Pala Mesa Resort!
Nice track
Course is good. Golf cart management on fairways is very aggressive. Allowing on fairways and distance to green - disabling carts is very different from any other course. Causes a very tough play process in knowing yardage w access to clubs...
Needs to be thought thu...

Nice course with several elevation changes
Golf course fairways on the front nine were pretty rough! Cart path only on the entire front nine and 3 additional holes on the back. Very friendly staff. Several elevation changes throughout the course. Greens were nice but difficult to read with the hills. Very interesting layout.
Enjoyed the day!
