Reviews
Rough Shape
Course is not in very good shape… from tee box to green… a lot of work are needed to get course up to playing shape

A sad decline
It pains me to say it, but a course that used to be one of my favorites has declined to such a point that I’m not sure I will go back. The fairways have very little grass remaining on at least 50% of the courses. The sand traps are as hard as a rock, and the greens are in the bottom 5 of the 50 courses I play during a typical year. During Covid, they raised their rates by 50%: and I guess the money went into someone’s pocket rather than being invested in the course.
Hi, LGallup1. Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Your feedback about the course is important to us. We are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game, and we will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Pala Mesa Resort. We hope to see you again soon.
over priced
I paid $42 (hot deal) and it was still too much. The greens were real bumpy (mixture of 2 types of grass), patchy fairways, and the bunkers were hard dirt, not sand! Bad condition for a "resort" course!!
Hello, u000001018579. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We would love to know how we can earn those last two stars next time! Thanks for playing Pala Mesa Resort.
Staff & Course conditions
Staff was not friendly at the pro shop and the course conditions were very wet and no grass on the fairway with hoses and a sprinkler running along the fairway.
Hi osidedelao, thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. It was an uncommon instance and we’ll do better in the future.

Not in shape
I’m a big fan of this course. Unfortunately most of the tee boxes were low grade. The greens were decent but patchy. Fairways degraded as it turned into rough.

Meh
Course was very slow and congested with large slow groups ahead of us. Greens were in poor condition.

Greens are terrible....
We played here weekly. This last Friday will probably be the last until they fix these greens and tee boxes. Its really gone down hill in the last 6 months. Pretty sad.

Miserably slow, course in poor condition
We have played here several times in the last couple of year. I have never seen the course in this bad of condition. Also there were 4 groups on several holes, Not only on par 5, but par 4 as well. Only 3 groups on par 3. No marshall. I will not be coming back.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve and are working diligently to improve the course. Thank you for playing and we hope to see you again soon.
Greens are looking rough
WASNT used to seeing beaten up greens like this. Made for some weird bounces while putting. Some tee boxes were also dirt.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us, u861905318. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Pala Mesa Resort, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Conditions
The front 9 was not good at all. Fairways had very little grass. It may be because of drought conditions, but basically there was very little attention paid to the front 9. The back 9 was quite a bit better. much more grass in the fairways and the greens were smoother and better taken care of. I will not be coming back here in the near future

I want to like it
I like Pala Mesa Golf Course because I have many fond memories over the years. The last few times I have played there the condition of the course was poor. The fairways were dry, many places not having grass. The greens were beat up. Divot marks. Dead patches.. I want the course to be in better condition, which is why I am providing this feedback. I want to play there but unless there is a dramatic change in the condition of the course, I will be playing elsewhere.

Very good
The staff did a very good job. The greens were nowhere near your normal excellent standards. Otherwise the course was in very good condition.
