Pala Mesa Resort

This course was in great condition. We were the first ones to tee off . We finished round in 31/2 hrs and layout was great and everything was nice and greens. If you play here try to tee off before 8am as the jr kids show up to practice . Overall great course to check off the bucket list .

This is a very challenging course in great shape. The staff is very accommodating.

The course is in very good condition with sand traps with playable sand. The rough is a bit long but they were mowing when we played the day after a holiday. Fairways uniformly consistent and greens very fast and challenging. Tee box options were good but a few consolidated due to wear.

Pala Mesa has such gacious staff and a most beautifully designed course !!

Pala Mesa is a favorite course for our 4 some.

The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the rough is too long make it quite difficult to find your golf ball even is you're only a couple of yards off the fairway. Getting into the rough is very penalizing almost as much so as at Torrey Pines. It really slowed our round due to the searches for golf balls that were difficult to find. You had to be practically on top of your golf ball to find it. I wish they would cut it 1" shorter to speed up play.
