I've been lucky to play PB at least five times in the past decade since moving to California. This was the first time I saw Mother Nature at her angriest. The wind was howling. It was cold. I hit a 8 iron that was short - short! - on the 107-yard 8th.

The weather is really the course's best defense these days, other than its small, tricky greens. It was good to get this perspective ahead of the 2023 U.S. Women's Open.

The course is in the best shape I’ve seen it in years.

The course was in really good shape. One gentleman in our foursome works for the course and when we said that the course was in much better shape than the last time we played there a couple years ago, he said that it’s been better since after COVID. Evidently they recently had a tournament and we’re going to have another big tournament in a few days so they have really been keeping up the course. Pace of play was great until around hole 14, but still not bad. Would definitely recommend playing here.

Though I had not played this course in some time I was incredibly pleased to find the overall condition of Old D to be near immaculate.Mowers and rollers were out in my mid morning round and my obvious concern were the poa greens.Near pure.Every single one of ‘em.

Customer service was not good. Course did not offer rain check, even though the weather was windy and raining. Course conditions were not good.

I enjoyed playing this course in the past. I think management is now too focused on maximizing revenue at the expense of customer service and good experience in playing the course. Unfortunate for golfers.

Greens are in good shape. Long distance from tees to grass - rocky, and uneven ground in between. Very difficult to impossible t from which to hit. My opinion it unnecessarily adds difficulty to the course. Pricing was good, friendly staff, pace of play was fine.

Really nice corse had some construction going on at couple of holes but nothing bad.

I walked the course three times this week and the experience really paid off with descending scores. I loved the longer holes, including a couple long par 3s. But what really sets this course apart is that it’s probably the highest value course I’ve ever played. I’ll be back.

what a gorgeous monterey bay day...golf was excellent also..the club house staff, the starter, the beverage cart lady and even the people working all around the course are professional, courteous and really nice...course in excellent condition...I would play again

What a great day on this beautiful course. The greens were a little bit slower than usual but in Great condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful with getting us all situated and on time. I can’t wait to get back on the course. Thanks Again

Wow, What A Great Day Of Golf. The greens were a bit slow and fuzzy but in beautiful condition. I Can’t Wait To Go Back. The Staff Was Outstanding, Jose Was Top Notch. I Believe Her Name Was Amanda in The Restaurant Was So Helpful And The Food Was Terrific.

I had a great time golfing with my 2 sons, course was beautiful, staff was kind and we would definitely love to go back again one day!
