Overpriced
Amenities are below standard. Very small pro shop, no snacks and drink carts and forget about getting your clubs clean when you finish your round.
Great Course, Unfriendly Staff
It’s always enjoyable to play this beautiful course. Not being wealthy, I appreciate the hot deals that occasionally bring this course into our price range. We grabbed one this weekend, and headed down early to fight the Bay Area traffic to the Monterey Peninsula. Upon arrival, we normally just check in with the starter. But I headed into the clubhouse to buy some overpriced sunscreen. The 3 staff members saw me, but they were commenting on people at the driving range and did not turn around to help me for a few minutes. When one finally turned, she didn’t say hello, but told another to help me. He did, but he seemed to be having a grumpy day. No smile, no welcome, no hello. This is not the first time at Quail the staff has been poor at customer service. There was also no drink cart on the course, which was disappointing. Nonetheless, the marshal on the course was very good; he kept the pace going and it was a truly enjoyable round. We’ll be back (for the hot deals), but we will make sure to have all we need (including sunscreen) so we can avoid the pro shop and just check in directly at the starter.
Ok course
Overpriced. The staff barely spike to me. I had to ask where 1st tee was. I got there early so i could hit balls on the range but it was closed. They were mowing at 11am. I caught up to a twosome who were very nice and i played with them.
Best course I've ever played
It's all about the back nine. Conditions are on par with pebble. No exaggeration. Driving range can't hit balls farther than 215. Only thing I can say negative
You can not ask for better.
Flawless from the tee box to the green on every hole. Not super long but it fits the layout of the land.
Fantastic course, conditions, snd staff
My sister and I enjoyed this pristine course surrounded by beautiful mountains. The staff was attentive and gracious and the course was both challenging and enjoyable. Now a new favorite and strong recommendation not to miss during your stay in the Monterey/Carmel area.
Beautiful course, beautiful views
The course was in immaculate condition, no two holes the same, the bunker's challenging, greens neither fast nor slow,, perfect condition, not tricked out. More resorty than tournament caliber. Breakfast delicious, nice pro shop, not a single bad thing to say about this place and the views make it all worthwhile
Enjoyable round on a scenic course
Course was in excellent shape with a lot of fun holes, especially on the back nine. We will return and definitely recommend.
Fun Track in Excellent Condition
I have played this course about 6 times. The conditions of the fairways and greens has always been excellent. The course is fair, not over bunkered and moderate in difficulty. The only thing is that the greens are pretty boring. They are basic "table top" mid-size simple greens.
Nice
The course is well maintained all around. Nothing to find negative about this course. I will be playing it again sometime soon.
Quail
First time. Playing here. Great conditions. Fun layout. Will be back.
