About Quail Lodge & Golf Club
Tucked into the Carmel Valley, the charming Quail Lodge & Golf Club is a maze of covered outdoor walkways, all beautifully landscaped with flowers, that leads to 93 guestrooms, a nine-hole putting course, bocce ball, tennis and pickleball courts and a heated swimming pool. Its scenic course, redesigned by Todd Echenrode in 2015, is a short walk up the road, home to a clubhouse with fine dining and a golf academy.Facts

Great outing
It'sa long drive but it was worth it! The whole day was perfect. Will definitely recommend and play this course again and again! Got paired up with a couple, Luna and BK from Korea. Dinner at COVEYS complete the day 😎⛳️
Beautiful day
Greens are recovering from a recent punching but still a great course layout. Wait another week or two and it will be rolling again!
Great time, member players were very nice.
Course was in near championship shape. Fast true greens. Not too long for the old guys like me. Had a great relaxing day, finished 18 with a birdie.
Carmel Valley at it’s best
Good practice facility, but be careful at the range as cars can be hit with arrant shots. Clubhouse/Edgars restaurant is 5 stars so get lunch on the deck outside and be sure to order the clam chowder! The course conditions are beyond believable. The superintendent and staff are masters at detail and its hard to find anything to critique, its that good. The bunkers sand is soft on top and firm under, so you almost want to get in a few just to try them out. The bunker lips are immaculate with high grass edging giving the appearance you are deeper then you really are. Fairways are carpets of perfection. Rough is not too deep and soft and full everywhere and I mean everywhere almost treated as just a higher cut fairway its that full and lush. There are really high rough areas around the bunkers for contrast which is challenge to get out. The greens are on the simpler flat style with very subtle breaks, so you are always guessing if its straight or just a slight hidden break and this makes them harder to read I think, I found that taking out a break I holed more. The conditions are spectacular if theres a ball mark its yours. They have soft holds for aggressive approaches. Tee boxes are like the fairways, that good. Perfect squared-off boxes and lots of them. Dont let the par 71 make you feel like you got jipped, there are 2 par 3s (5 and 12) that are worth it. Be sure to get some popcorn and save some for the ducks.
Everything was fantastic. Course was in beautiful shape. Greens are running very true. Speedy, so be ready. Staff was great. Resort course so it is very fair, forgiving and beginner friendly. Definitely a must do.
First Impressions
What a great golfing experience. Beautiful layoiut and outstanding conditions on entire course. The greens were the best I played on 10 years.
Quail Lodge is Lush and Beautiful
Very green everywhere. Great layout. Beautiful scenery. I've made many golf trips to the area and only discovered Quail Lodge last year. It now has a place in our rotation for each future trip. Just a great place. Fun to get inland for a different experience. Love this place.
Incredible Find
The course was outstanding! I would recommend it to
anyone. Such beautiful views on each hole.
Great course
A really great round which started with wonderful staff greeting you as you arrive , Pro shop was fantastic with great selection and the course was spectacular, perfect fairways and challenging greens .
Everybody talks about the “Pebble” courses, but when your in the area, try out this track, you won’t be disappointed
Probably the nicest course in Northern California
The pace of play is always great because there's hardly anyone there. The standard Green fee keeps most of those who aren't Rich away but the golf now hot deal makes it reasonable to play on most days. The condition of the course is always immaculate, the greens are pristine they roll true, and the hazards are fair. If I would change anything I may spice it up a bit after a few rounds can get a little dull
