Conditions
Wow they have really let this course go. It would be really fun if it was kept up nicer. Which is a shame because it isn’t overly dry like some places in NorCal get. So you know they have the water. The ball doesn’t roll out very far on fairways compared to most link style courses. Most of the bunkers are complete trash. I swear the sand mixture for replacing divots most have a different kind of grass because where there is a common place divots would be taken there are a bunch of little tuffs of grass sticking up that are different and tall. The surface around the green is patchy and weedy. Greens are better than the rest of the course but still random weeds and ungodly slow. Just a shame, the course is fun but gzzz rough shape.
Good course, better bargain
Not many places you can play a course this nice for $50, even on a weekday. Yes, it's Corning and it can be hot and windy, but we started at 8:30 and had no problems. Grass driving range and nice putting green to start. Played as a foursome with my parents and my son. Parents are high handicap but play the correct tees and make sure to stay on pace so it was odd to have a group skip a hole and pass us on 6 when we were only 1 minute behind per the cart. Course was in very good condition, greens rolled well. Bunkers were in good shape. Enjoyed the round thoroughly and wouldn't hesitate to come back.
Best Value & Variety of Practice course.
Outstanding golf course to play. Has all the practice space to perfect your game. The course can be challenging. But way worth it. Let go of the longest drive on most holes. Play within the realm of your club choices. ….
Always an Awesome Time Here
A must stay and play adventure. Now are the longer days of the year. Come out here play 3 rounds in a day. Believe me. It’s possible. The course can be a challenge with the club choices you make. Play the course smart by not over cooking your driver choices.
Tee times do not matter
Our tee time was 11:50, when we checked in, we were told there was not a starter and when we went to the first hole, we were the 3rd group to tee off. The course was in decent shape, the greens were okay considering they were worked on several weeks previously. We ended up only playing 9 due to the extremely slow pace of play.
Definitely for mid to low hdc
If you strghle off the tee and spray the ball everywhere, this is NOT the track for you. You will lose a ton of balls in the shrubs/tall grass, it is a links course for shure. Great fairways & greens.
Great day
Always a great day out on the Links. One of the nicer courses around the area that’s not private.
Best Customer Service On Rainy Day
The horn sounded when we were on hole 9 for thunder and lightning to call everyone in. Clubhouse packed with inpatient golfers waiting for cell to pass that was likely to take over an hour. Instead of waiting, everyone in my party was given rain checks (literally) to play entire round again on any given day. Very accommodating and friendly staff.
Windy Links Days
Great challenge. Hard because of wind. But great layout
