Great Course!
Rolling Hills is in its name…ball rolls forever! I have been playing 5 months on a weekly basis. Play off the ladies tees, but for a bigger challenge the first and second tees are way behind them. This is a great course for beginners and more pro level. John Daily did a great job with this course!
Great Value for this Challenging Course
Conveniently located right behind the hotel and casino. So, when you combine the two amenities you have a nice place to stay and play both during the day and at night.
The course is tagged as a John Daly design but I'm not sure how much he actually had to do with it. Nevertheless, the first time I stopped to play there was a multi-day college tournament being held there. After returning to play at another date, I now see why.
The course can play long from the back tees. It has firm rolling fairways surrounded by thick rough before transitioning into the native grass areas. Green complexes were interesting and they were in good shape. Maybe a few worn tee boxes but the rest of the course was decently maintained. Worth the stop for sure. And given the greens fees, the tribe is not making money off of the course amenity. So, take advantage! It's probably the best public course north of Sacramento.
Great Golf Course!
Great course at a fair price. No penalty for moving your ball back to fairway if it lands in the native grass!
Nice course but so many wasps around made it hard to concentrate. And slow play in front and fast play behind us, we left early. Premium price for nice course but hard to enjoy
Target Golf
We were fortunate to get paired up with someone who knew the course. Thank you Jeremy! It is challenging to see where you want to hit your shots on many holes.
We enjoyed the course and will play it again next time we are passing through. The course is in good shape and the greens rolled true. To play the course well, you have to hit the ball on the correct line. If your ball goes off the fairway into the tall grass, it is difficult to find.
Great course
First time playing there and I was impressed. The price for 18 holes with a cart was great and the staff was very helpful.
JDA
My group has been playing at the Links off and on for ten years. We were disappointed in the course conditions. Some of the tee boxes, especially hole nine were dirt with patches of grass. Fairways and rough had areas of weeds. Speaking of weeks, native grass area has turned into a giant weed field. Lastly, greens were ok.
One of my favorite courses
Friendly staff, challenging & well maintained course, first class practice facilities, & reasonable rates - what more could you ask for?
Course ethics, local rules and liquor sales.
The course itself is an interesting links style course, however the local rules they have instigated are definitely disconcerting. We were surprised to see a group of five playing ahead of us. The front nine was fine but at the turn they obviously loaded up with more alcohol and the back nine went downhill from there. When we mentioned this at the pro shop they said it was allowed provided they kept up with the group in front of them. The problem is we didn’t see a marshal out on the course and there shenanigans were very annoying. I do not recommend this course for these reasons.
FAVORITE/BUT
BOOKED A TEE TIME FOR 2 ON-LINE. THEN IT WAS BUSY BECAUSE OF SUNSHIME. THEY ADDED 2 TO OUR 2-SOMES. NO PROBLEM. BUT PACE OF PLAY SLOW. THEN MARSHALL SHOWED UP AND SAID WE NEEDED TO LET 4 SOME PASS. DIDN'T HAPPEN BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN WAITING. HE NEVER WENT FORWARD TO SEE THAT. SO FINALLY, THE 4 SOME WENT RIPPING BY US AND THE 3 OTHER GROUPS. THEN WE HAD 2 GROUPS OF 2 SOMES FOLLOWING US. SO, I AM NOT SURE WHY ON A BUSY WEEKEND THAT WAS SUNNY AND BACKED UP THAT YOU WOULD NOT MAKE THE 2 2-SOMES HOOK UP ALSO.
BETTER THAN WORKING...
I ALWAY LOVE THIS COURSE. WEATHER IT IS SUNNY OR A LITTLE RAIN. THEY ALSO OFFER COVERED CARTS.
Drains well
For winter in NorCal it drains well. Great links course. Native grass is unfortunately too tall and the tee boxes were chewed up. The bunkers need more sand. Fairways and greens are nice!!
Great time and great staff
We love playing the lengths at rolling hills. The staff including Jim and Brad are great. Is always very helpful and nice. The pace can be a little slow when there's a tournament. The greens are in great shape and very fast.
ALWAYS ENJOY THE COURSE.
Great place to play Golf, Gamble, Eat and park your trailer. Not to mention Concerts..
