Pleasantly surprised!
I had played the course once or twice when I moved to the area in 2018 and was not overly impressed. They have done a lot of improvement since then! Greens were perfect and the layout is challenging with a good balance of doglegs, water, hazards, etc. Sand traps were in great shape also. The food at their concession stand was very good and prices reasonable. Will certainly be back!
Great course! Loved the layout, bunkers were very well maintained. Fairways in good condition and clean quick greens. Would definitely recommend the trek out to Ramona to play this course.
Friendly Staff
Amazing playing surface, fun and challenging to play on.
Course is in good condition
For how much of a drought the state's been in, San Vicente is surprisingly green. The tee boxes can be rough on the par 3's, but the greens are like Torrey North.....firm, and pretty smooth. But unlike Torrey North, they roll much quicker. Very much worth it for Golf Now's Hot Deal price.
Challenging at all levels
As a newer golfer with only a just over a year of experience this is a fairly challenging course. The course is in close to perfect condition. Fairways are well kept and the greens are fast and firm. Would highly recommend to anyone!
Undulating Greens
If you feel like you want a challenge with the putter then this course is for you! Very challenging greens but definitely makes it a fun challenge with the flat stick!
Great open fairways with excellent views. Loved the wild turkeys roaming around!
I would love to play this course again. My golf game was near my best. Met some great people.
Overpriced, rude, and poor conditions
Made the trek out to San Vicente based on a recommendation on the course and conditions. Got there and greens were punched. That happens, sure. It would be a solid idea to maybe have that identified when booking a tee time. The fairways were also punched and very poor. Course maintenance is something that needs to be done. Totally understand, but then to charge full pop for your terrible condition course is just all sorts of wrong. No heads up, full pop, garbage conditions. Starter was flat out rude. When I met my playing partner on the first tee I mentioned that to him. He in turn says “ya guy was a total dick to me too.” Head over to the range and you’ll find poor mats, people crushing bomber cans of Fosters and “range balls” that are essentially the balls people lose on 9 and placed in the ball machine. On the plus side there are 10,000 turkeys running around and gobbling at them is a real treat….
