About
San Vicente Golf Resort sprawls across lush rolling hills in Ramona, though it is conveniently only 20 minutes from San Diego's many attractions. Situated in the Valley of the Sun, the golf course boasts scenic views of the surrounding mountains as well as temperate weather for most of the year. Ted Robinson designed the layout, utilizing the natural contours and features of the terrain. The golf course only measures to 6,633 yards from the back tees but it seems to play much longer because of the elevation changes throughout, which range from subtle to dramatic. The undulating nature of the landscape gives each hole a unique character. No two holes even vaguely resemble one another on this layout. San Vicente is not only for golfers though, there are also lighted tennis courts, two equestrian centers, and a year-round heated pool.

San Vicente course
Greens were bumpy and sandy after recent aerification.
I left feeling disappointed
I’d been wanting to play this course for quite some time, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. The fairways were extremely dry, and I later learned the course had recently been aerated—something that should have been reflected in a discounted rate. The online images portray a lush, green course, but in reality it was quite brown. Given its location in the mountains of Ramona, I expected more varied terrain and a greater challenge. Needless to say, I left feeling disappointed.
Full rate- Greens just punched
Wasn't aware the greens were just punched and no mention at check in from the staff or starter. We paid full value of $110.00. The greens were not playable. Thick layer of sand and punched. No concession on price. Really disappointing.
Great course layout
SV has a great layout, friendly staff and a great restaurant at the resort!
Very difficult greens
Almost every green has steep skis and lots of undulations. We played with a lica who knew them well. My partner a I had several 3 and 4 put greens.
Great layout. Challenging but fun for golfers of all levels. Staff, including food service were incredibly helpful and friendly. We look forward to being able to come back and play again.
Beautiful course. Everyone was very friendly. No starter made things a bit confusing, but it all worked. We would play there again.
Hidden Gem
Beautiful conditions and well maintained. Is a really fun course to play.
Worst service
Range was closed. Carts were path only.
Rain started on first green. By 5th hole, puddles on fairways and on greens - unplayable conditions. Pro Shop would not give a rain check because “we haven’t closed the course” and “you chose to quit playing”.
Will not return to San Vicente golf course.

The course is in good shape beautiful old oak trees. Nice people had a great time. Thank you.
Great Course. Worth The Drive.
Fun course. Lots of up & down. Pretty good shape. Scenic. Played as a 4 some in <4 hours. Staff is friendly. It's a bit of a drive but well worth it. You'll use every club in thr bag. Had a great time and am looking forward to going back.
Flat
Course is really flat not to hard, pace of the game was really slow , greens were nice and taken care of but I won’t play there again
