San Vicente
This is a very nice course with a very solid layout. The greens are relatively fast and very true. I'm not wild with the design of the greens with multiple humpbacks and strange slopes. I will definitely return to play here again. Little bit of a drive from Mission Valley area it took about 45 minutes to get there.
Fairway, traps and greens were in excellent shape.
Front 9 typical track course surrounded by homes. Challenging greens. I played gold tees at nearby Mt. Woodson and needed to move up to green/red tees on San Vicente.
Back 9 is a very different kind of course with more rugged ruff consisting of chaparral and oak trees.
Pro: great snack bar.
Con: course not monitored and seems to be a free for all with locals walking or driving on and off the course with kids and dogs at their leisure. Doesn’t have a professional golf club feel, especially for the price.
Nice course
Enough water, traps, huge trees that can sneak up on you. Sand is in excellent condition, large lakes and you are definitely in the country with huge trees surrounding. Greens are in real good shape and lots of undulation.
Felt like a Midwest country club atmosphere. Nice place to spend the day.
Greens are always a challenge but lots of fun
Fairways looking a little rough in spots, but the fresh sand in the bunkers make it a little more challenging around the hole.
