Keep everything to the mid left and you got a chance. Shots to right destroy your round. Pure shots rewarded.

I was staying at the nearby Country Estates so this was very convenient. Enjoyed the course and the clubhouse is a great place to eat.

If there is one thing that this course has to offer, it's variety. No two holes are alike on this course, and that is a good thing. I enjoyed my round at the beautiful San Vincente Golf Course very much. I played as a single and was paired up with three friends, two of which were locals. They were very friendly and helpful during the round. The course is in great shape, greens rolled true for the most part. The only downside, in my opinion, to this course is the few holes that have trees in the fairways. San Vincente is a beautiful course with lots of variety. If you haven't played there yet, let me just say it's worth the drive.

The course is in great shape. Fairways and greens are beautiful. Tee boxes are good. Played in a foursome with two walking and two riding. Played in four hours and never had to wait. Beautiful layout with lots of scenic vistas.

Layout was very nice, with great views. Par 3s on back 9 were beautiful. #12 over water, and #15 are very nice. The back 9 was more challenging then the front. The fairways were in decent condition with a few bare spots. The greens were in very nice shape. We had a very nice time, plan on returning soon.

Enjoyed a very nice trip from La Jolla to Ramona to play here and it was worth the journey, just for the scenery if nothing else. Pro was very welcoming as were the staff in the restaurant where we had a very substantial breakfast.
No bag drop and we didn't try the range but this did look a bit limited. Pro called us to the tee a bit earlier than our booked time and this put us, as a two ball, in the middle of lots of fourball so but this probably would have been the case all day as it was a Sunday and Valentines Day also so the course was bound to be busy!
Course itself was very pleasant and quite challenging, even off the white tees. Some of the tees needed a bit of a trim and a couple of fairways were a bit "scabby" but in all the condition was good and the greens quite true if a little slow. Given the amount of play this course gets as a resort course condition was very good.
Overall this is a nice course to play and good value if a little off the beaten track. Would probably try and choose a mid week day when it might be a little quieter.

It's worth the drive. Greens are great. Great scenery.

San Vicente provides a pretty good challenge. Though I enjoyed my round, there was a frost delay earlier, so the shotgun tournament that was supposed to start 2 1/2 earlier, started 30 minutes prior to start time. One reason I love living in San Diego is the number of golf courses and the speed at which a round can be played. My round that day was S-L-O-W!

Golf staff was most friendly and helpful pace of play was fine

The course is in great shape, the greens were excellent but challenging (fast and firm). The course takes some local knowledge on a number of holes - target type golf.

The biggest drawback is the distance to the course unless you live in Ramona or Poway.

I will play this course again.

The course was in beautiful shape, pace of play for a Saturday was great!! HUGE downside-kids riding around on bicycles picking up balls in play!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!

these course is a very good condition and it is very good worked all holes, fairways, greens, sands. good one.

Course is well maintained, uses reclaimed water so still green fairways and excellent greens and bunkers.

The staff was exceptional. We started on time, had helpful hints about the course and when the rains came and we could only play nine holes, they gave us complimentary nine holes for our next time.

This course has the potential to be among one of the best public tracks in the San Diego area. The course is challenging but not so outrageous so as to prevent any level player from enjoying the day. The condition of the greens are constantly impressive. The food and beverage facilities are adequate and the staff (primarily high school aged children - more later) are friendly. Driving range requires much improvement. Mainly dirt and the golf balls are found/stray/damaged with a line of paint. The problem with this course is that due to the isolated location, many golfers lose sight of etiquette and pace of play. I have played this course no less than 10-15 times and each and every time the pace of play leaves me frustrated and bitter. The staff, primarily children, are loathe to roam the course and encourage folks to keep up with the group ahead of them. As a walker and a 10 handicap, I have seen my share of courses and this by far is one of the slowest. Never any fun to hit.......then wait. Management (such as it is) is inclined to ignore complaints of slow play and are more concerned with catching folks fishing in the few lakes on the course. Probably will refrain from future outings at this facility.

Chose this course because of the 4 star reviews. I feel the majority of the reviews over rated the course. Best things were the greens, food and drink and staff friendliness. The course itself was in fair to good condition at best. The back nine fairways and beauty was much better than the front nine. The reviews regarding the new landscaping is misleading. The planting season are new and they areas needed mulch. Lots of ragged looking areas. Reminded my wife and I of the average mini golf course. Probably won't return.

We will be back to play this course often. Would like to see restrooms added.
