Fun course
Played this course for the first time. Visiting from out of town and found on my GN app. Course was in great shape. I would for sure play again and recommend if visiting.
Long walk
Long walk from parking lot to pro-shop.
Fairways and greens in great condition.
Singing hills a solid choice
Enjoyed playing the Oak course. Surprised that so many changes to water features have been made since last time I played there over 10 years ago. Only suggestion I make would be with pin placements on the par 5s. They were on the edge. Final note, they have leveled all the rooms/ and half of the Pine course to build of all things, a soccer facility with 5 fields. ???? Good luck on that one!!!
Tournament
I played here on a weekday afternoon. Unfortunately there was a massive tournament going on at the course the same day. The parking lot was so full, I could barely find parking. The course was obviously packed. I understand courses host tournaments, but there was no mention of this when I booked and no easy way to find out ahead of time. Really poor customer service.
Warm day
All the courses at singing hills are nice , we played willow glen and it was nice . Our biggest gripe was that there was no water available for the golfers unless you caught the drink cart which we saw twice . Absolutely unacceptable under the heat wave conditions. The other issue was all the cups lips were rounded off at first we thought it was from players sticking there clubs into the cup to get their balls out , but as we played on it was obvious it was done that way . Either they cut the holes with a very dull cutter or it’s something new . All we know is a lot of putts that would have normally dropped if the cups were cut with nice sharp edges like you normally see all lipped out off the rounded edged 🤷♂️🏌🏾♂️
Good track
Golf was good. Great greens and good layout. Pro shop staff was very disinterested in being helpful to golfers at check in. Starter was very friendly and gave good layout of the course. Never saw a cart girl. Smart to bring your own water on a hot day!
Conditions
Course punched greens and construction going on. Not sure why schedule hiring prime golf season but that’s on management team!
Greens were recently aerated but still rolled well. Fairways were nice. Sand traps were crusty and needed more sand.
Greens Aerated
They aerated the greens on this course on 6/25/24. Of course, they did not reveal this when I made my tee time and they offered NO discount even though the greens are essentially unplayable. They also were letting out multiple fivesomes which made the pace of play ridiculously slow. The customer service here is really sad.
Could be better
The cashier was not warm and there wasn’t a starter to give directions. There was no beverage cart.
Greens are sanded and shaggy
Love the money they put into the course but at the moment they have sanded the greens on Oak and let them grow out. Every putt snakes side to side and bounces around. I received no heads up or discount.
Lots to like.
Great course. Friendly staff. Excellent course conditions.
