Westin Desert Willow Villas

Excellent layout; love this course. The greens were a bit rough but should come around in a few weeks.

Rode the Purples (6507/71.2/128) on a GN Hot Deal mid day in 3.5H. Matched up with Zach and Brian, nice guys to play with. It was 117 when we were finishing, and it is supposed to be above 110 every day for the immediate future.

Course very playable but beginning to show signs of the recent heat wave. Fun layout with plenty of water and traps but they do not overwhelm you.

Tees were good with a few needing divot repair. Level and mostly lush.

Fairways mostly lush with a few thinner areas and firm.

Same for the rough. Mowed low, not very penal, mostly lush.

Traps were nicely maintained with good quality sand. Would just like to see more sand in them.

Greens were medium speed and firm. Beginning to get what I call middle of the summer Bermuda bumpy when the heat gets above 110 for a few days in a row.

Always exceptional customer service here. Quick, efficient check-in. Excellent all grass practice facility with complementary range balls. Nice GPS on the upgraded carts that have ports for electronics. Plenty of ice/water stations on the course every few holes. Drink cart around a few times early in the round. Recommended.

We played here 4 days ago since this is one of our favorite courses in the area. Greens rolled a little better today, but still stressed. We played as a threesome and the pace was very quick for the initial 9. On the back nine things ground to a halt. We had 3 groups on the tee on the first par 5 of the back nine. Pace continued at this level for the remainder of the round. The group ahead of us said the ranger noted that the slow threesome was 3 groups in front of them. Regardless, we never saw a ranger all day. I'm just glad that we didn't have this pace for the entire round.

The seasonal dormant grass that makes up half the surface was missing, the fescue was fine, but it made them uneven. Everything else was perfect. I love this course!

Excellent course for all levels of play. Many spectacular holes.

We play Firecliff at least twice every time we're here. The course is almost always a little stressed, but this year it seemed to be in worse condition than normal. Greens had a lot of rough spots. Very difficult to make putts over 8'. Fariways and sand were in overall good condition. We play this course again in a few days. I hope things get a little better by then, but not expecting much since most of their issue is with their greens.

Desert Willow was suggested to my wife and I and we were not disappointed ( except for a slow group in front of us). played in 4:30 but could be done quicker without slow players in front.... nice course, very friendly, helpful staff... thanks~!

Desert Willow golf course in Palm Desert is a great place to play golf. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are in excellent condition.

The Mountain View Course is very well maintained and a pleasure to play.

Great looking course but the piece of play was not that enjoyable.. there’s people playing 5 mins before you amd 5 mins after you.. makes u rush but cant rush too much it was weird. Other wise one of the nicest courses I’ve been too

Have played Desert Willow several times. Tee'd off at 10:25 expecting it to be pretty open in June but it was busy. Overall still played in around 3:45 which seems great but as a two-some we were waiting on most holes. Course and practice facilities were in great shape. Just a lot of golfers right now even in 105 degree weather.
