I expected better
Best part about palms is the staff glad they brought back the Puerto Rican starter. He’s the best! And a vet! Course is alright T boxes nothing special but the green are terrible. Better off just counting it as a two put because 3 foot puts have to navigate tough terrain.
Good value and not crowded.
Greens have lots of weeds so if you are serious may not be the course for you.
It’s a Shame.
This golf course is being run down. The pace of play is horrible no one there monitoring or helping groups stuck behind very slow play move those players along. I understand that not everyone plays at the same level but golf ettics you let faster players through especially when there is no one in front of you. The greens are in horrible condition and have yet to play that course and see someone working on it. There are 3 nines so don’t understand why they don’t close one nine to fix it. Then move on to the next. I will never play there again unless some changes are made. There are very few good golf courses in south Florida left. Used to be some great golf courses not anymore.
Terrible greens
Course was in good shape with one exception. Greens were terrible. Pock marked. Hard to get a decent roll. Would not play again until greens are fixed.
Greens need renovation
Good course but only a few greens are still playable. The rest are in pretty dire need of regrassing/renovation. The grass on most of them is sparse, but long and stringy, and just rolled flat. We had some greens that were nappy where the grass had come up from being rolled. Really inconsistent, but they've done an OK job of working with what they got. It's worth playing for target practice but don't expect to roll putts until they get it fixed.
Greens are horrible
The course layout is nice, however the greens are in awful shape. Impossible to putt when they are that bad. This course should be way cheeper for the current conditions it is in.
Greens In Awful Shape
If putting is your thing, this is not the course for you. I've played all three nines in the last two weekends, and the Grand course is the only one with tolerable greens. Royal/Sabal courses have GARBAGE greens. You might as well just take an automatic two putt once you're on the green, that's how poor they are. $71 for a weekend round through CanAm is insane, and they charge about $10 more if you don't use CanAm. Terrible. Avoid until they get the course back in decent shape.
Fix Now!
This used to be a premium course. It is far from that now. Greens are falling apart because of the crazy weed infestation. They basically have killed the greens. Pace of play has also been absolutely atrocious lately.
Royal/sable
Fairways poor. greens terrible. Would not play their for 1/3 of the price.
