Grand/Royal at Grand Palms Golf & Country Club
Twenty seven championship holes await travelers visiting south Florida's scenic beaches. Grand Palms Golf & Country Club in Pembroke Pines also offers three nines: Royal, Sabal and Grand. All three are famous for having some of the best greens in the area, and the golf courses are played in three separate combos. The Grand/Royal 18, designed by Ward Northrup, comes in at 6,881, most of which is blanketed with palm trees and tropical foliage. The longest and most challenging of the Grand Palms' golf courses, Grand/Royal features some especially memorable water holes. A tight layout with raised greens (perfect for testing your shot-making talents), beware the Grand's bunkers, strategically placed along the greensides.

Grand palms bookings
They severely overbooked - had a minimum of 2 hour delay… unacceptable… i had to go somewhere else to play……..very poor experience……..
Good value for the money
Just played it recently - honestly, best conditions I have seen this golf course and I have been playing here for the last 3 years. Greens were a bit slow but well kept. Fairways here have always been the downfall, but they were not too bad - it's just the type of grass. Extremely fast pace of play as there weren't many people out there. Overall - I had a great time and would definitely recommend just for the price point given this time of the year.
Good condition and pace of play
Haven’t played here in awhile tee boxes, fairways and greens all in decent shape. Pace of play was great. Had members in front and really nobody behind us or we just play quick enough. Always great seeing the starter there. Can never remember his name but he’s the Cuban navy veteran. Great guy
1 Hr. Behind Schedule - call ahead
I drove 30 minutes for my 1:05 tee time and arrived at 1:40. The pro shop attendant told me that they were behind schedule and I wouldn’t be able to get out there until 1:50 or later! When the sun sets at 5:15… that is not acceptable.
I booked through GN as a single, and it turns out 4 others ALSO had a 1:05 tee time. The attendant did not seem to think that was an issue. Maybe allowing 5-somes is not a good idea if you want to be able to stick to the tee sheet?! Just a thought.
How was the course? Dunno… I left
Good layout for average golfers
The course is in good condition overall, greens very good, but some areas around the greens need more maintenance, fairways good,, tee boxes very good. Would play it again.
Lots of available tee times
Pace of play was a little slow at first. Layout is decent. Conditions were decent for November but not great. Carts are nice but no GPS so charge your phone and use an app or range finder. This is 3, 9 hole courses so each one differs.
I enjoy golfing on the weekdays better than weekends. The pace of play is always quicker, the golfers are more respectful, and the staff are always helpful.
Really enjoyed today they’re fixing it up for the snowbird season some rough patches but overall an excellent golfing time
The staff is helpful and friendly. The course is a nice layout. Solid value for the money. I will play again knowing that the sand traps my be a bit rough and the greens have a few weeds here and there but I will enjoy the round and the staff.
Bring extra balls
Lots of water and houses. Great if you like a challenge. Definitely bring extra balls
The title is strictly on the grounds that the cost is high and never came down once they reopened from the pandemic.
Grand Palms is a nice overall course that is getting ready for the golf season- today the Grand was closed. Good pace as we started at 0830 and completed in under 3 hours.
The staff is friendly and helpful, they need to be called out for today’s experience. They maneuvered some so the groups to keep the pace going. It turned out to be a good thing and no backup of golfers complaining.
