Only play if you have time!
two tee start only leads to chaos if not patrolled well. At the turn there were 14 people on the 10th tee. It did not make for an even average pace of play!
Course in great shape. but
Greens, fairways and bunkers are in great shape but there is a shortage of good rakes in the bunkers meaning some do not get repaired properly. It is bad enought that some golfers are too lazy to rake properly but the lack of rakes leads to complacency even with the guys and gals who do care.
Valentine Date
WARNING! Do not follow Golf Now directions to the course, put the address in.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The course was in great condition with challenging greens. We could only finish 15 holes in 5 hours but enjoyed the course.
Strong improvements at Orange Lake Reserve course
I played Orange Lake twice in 2016. The first round was in January so I cut the course conditions a bit of slack. I returned in March with high hopes - but no improvement. I'm in Orlando this, week and decided to give Orange Lake one more try (with help from recent upbeat reviews online). It was , overall, a good decision. The greens are very good, fairways good, and tee-boxes acceptable (mostly). The staff is helpful. The practice areas are fine. My big complaint is the almost 5 hour pace!! That is not acceptable!
The Reserve
We played The Reserve,, on Valentines Day thinking it would not be busy, it was the opposite, it took us 5 hours to get the round in.
The bag drop off area, and pick up area was far to small, needs to be looked at.
The Pro shop and Marketplace Did not accept cash, a first for me, there should be a sign for you to purchase your Driving Range tokens from the Pro shop, you get all the way out to the driving range only to go back and purchase tokens.
Friendly Starter
The banter with the starter was fantastic. He made us feel welcome. He had great hints for play. He made our day.
Foursome
Enjoyed the day! Great time, great play, will return!
Great condition
Great condition, challenging pin placements and plenty of scenery . First time here and will come back
Super course!
I LOVE OLR - Legends Course! Course conditions tee to green are even better than last year with fairways and rough especially green and lush. A few greens are getting some attention, but their playability is unaffected. Course layout is VERY interesting with markers at each tee reflecting quotes from Arnie or Kemmons Wilson that add to the golf experience at ORL - Legends. NO problem with walkers on the cart path, as with the ORL-Reserve course. Staff-particularly the starter- is great. I HIGHLY recommend playing ORL-Legends as it's well worth its cost.
Ranger needed
The course is continuing to get better under the new management company. The greens are quick and the fairways are in good shape. Unfortunately one foursome decided to hold the entire course up as they moved slowly on every shot. We finally skipped them on the 11th hole to find the entire back nine wide open.
Good value
Friendly staff course in good shape greens excellent.
Would have no problem recommending this course
Good shape.
Good shape this winter. Fairways and greens are in top notch winter condition.
