Lines on the greens after being punched. Difficult to putt with these grabbing the ball as it rolled into them. Photo submitted by bvmagic on 05/30/2016

Outstanding
As always, Lake Jovita was in great condition and was a true pleasure to play. The effort to keep the course in great condition really shows. Definitely one of the better courses in the Tampa Bay area.
Don't bother
Very nice mid range price course. BUT our round was derailed by the grounds crew. Very first hole mowers right in the middle of the fairway disrupting tee shots & second shots. Then while on greens 1 & 2 mowers very close the greens as we were putting. Again on 3 fairway a worker on a utility cart doing something in the fairway. At the prices they charge here this should never happen.
The members there defintely don't like that this course is public. Not my fault you don't pay enough to keep it private. For $35 bucks it was a great deal, even if you dont make any friends while you're out there.
Terrible Service
With the heat index today in the 100’s you’d think it would be responsible to have a beverage cart service that you would see at least once in the first 13 holes. Or plentiful drinking water on the course as most courses do in FL. When we finally found her it took her forever finalize our order and slowed the round down even more. There was also no communication of where there would be water out on the course. When we did find it. It was warm. The pace of play the entire round was awful .There wasn’t a single ranger on the course pushing people along. You had hacks waiting for the Greens to clear on 300 yard approach shots on par 5’s and then chunking it 80 yards. The course overall was great and the layout is tremendous as it always is. The service after the round in the clubhouse was even more atrocious. We had to go up behind the bar to get our own menus after being seated by Connor (who was great btw.) our server finally was found by Connor who came out of the kitchen with a plate of food of his own and eating in front of the guests. We had to get his attention to put our orders in before he even acknowledged our presence. At this point we paid as fast as we could and couldn’t wait to get out of there. I won’t be coming back here anytime soon.
sand traps need to be worked on
The North Course should have a cart girl going around at least 4times since you don't see the clubhouse until your done with 18 holes. On a hot day like today we only seen her once and her beverage wasn't even stocked. The sand traps are pitiful they need more sand in them. The greens were aerified three weeks ago and they are still bumpy
First time
Nice course lot of area to play smooth greens and nice fairways
Punched
One of my favorite courses in the area. It doesn't state it on here, The North course was recently punched but still playes well. Still need some work on those bunkers around the course. Draining issues and hard dirt make for bad bunkers. Need some better sand in them. Overall, The layout of the course is great for any level of golfer. Staff is helpful and friendly to all.
Challenging but fair, fairways mostly wide with fast greens
South course
Played south today what a wonderful layout. Some greens needed a little work but enjoyed this course more than north. However north is awesome too. Only issue for me was the walking to and from the cart on certain greens.. some of the cart signs put u out there super far to walk when going to putt..
South Jovita
The course is in great condition, greens a little slow for Jovita standards. Still quick, and fun. Can not beat it for $40.
North course in better shape than south
Played South Course at 736am. Greens were in good shape, but course could have been better. Drainage and clean of bunkers was not done, lots of clumps on fairways from cut grass, the holes were not cut well and had lots of ragged edges. Damage on portions of some greens, but overall rolling very well. I think with some minor attention to detail the South course would play as well as the North Course.
