Lines on the greens after being punched. Difficult to putt with these grabbing the ball as it rolled into them. Photo submitted by bvmagic on 05/30/2016

Wait a week or two
I haven't played the South course in a while but have always loved it. Amazing layout and just great facility in general. The course isn't and it's best shape right now though since they put a couple of weeks ago so I would wait another 2 weeks before I played it and then it should be back in great shape.
Lake Jovita
One of the best in the area. Greens are in great shape.
Loved it
I love this course , really fun and challenging layout and greens. I will 100% be back again.
Punches Greens
Still one of my favorite courses, love the layout, staff this time were very professional. They’ve had a lot of rain lately so the bunkers had standing water in them. The greens were punched which is a bit of downer since the best part of these courses. Had to be done though. Will play again once the greens roll smooth.
Disappointed
Lake Jovita South is typically one of my favorite courses in the area, however, this was not the course that I have played several times before. The bunkers were in terrible shape and most of them were filled with several inches of water. The greens had been recently aerated but this was not mentioned when booking the tee time. Due to the course conditions, the rate should have been much cheaper than the price I paid.
Fast Greens
Lake Jovita (North)is one of the nicest courses in the Tampa Bay area. For a high handicapper it is a real challenge, not so much in your approach to the greens but once you get on the greens. The greens are some of the fastest greens I've seen around and I play an average of 4 rounds of golf a week at various courses. Despite this, it was an incredibly great day with great friends, especially for a hot deal price of $25. A couple tee boxes need work, but the fairways are in great condition, the sand traps are filled with sand, unlike many surrounding courses that are rock hard or thin. Play the North Course, you won't be disappointed. My next venture there is to play the South Course, which is just as good and even more challenging than the North Course.
Always fun
Course in pretty good shape. Some fairways had areas with weeds, greens were excellent.
South course closed - played north
Booked a tee time on line for South course, but when arrived was informed south course was closed and was sent on to north course (south course greens had been aerated week prior and then a large rain storm had washed off the top dressing so greens were not ready... can't control mother nature).
Luckily for me, I enjoy the North Course just as well. Layout is beautiful and challenging. Tee boxes and green fringe in spots is a little rough. Fairways in great shape.
One of my new favorites.
I played the south course about 6 years ago while working in Tampa and was scheduled to paly again today. I really liked the south course but it had just been aeriated and was closed. they had me playing the north course and man was that a jot to play. Lots of nice views elevation changes and a nice layout. I played from white tee box and they were a little rough in spots but other boxes looked to be in better shape. fairways and greens where nearly perfect. I will defiantly play here more often now that I live near by. Only negative was the $22 dollar grouper sandwich for lunch.
The course has some interesting holes.
Beautiful course well Manicured and the staff is first class.
Over booked
Four tournaments running plus member event no parking

Hidden Gem
Went to play the North course with a friend. We both live in Tampa. This was well worth the one hour drive.
Everything was in great shape and a 5 star experience. We paid only $50 and that's a steal for this course.
The only negative were the tee boxes could use a little love but otherwise the greens rolled great, fairways and rough were in good shape. I'd highly recommend any golfer that plays the local Tampa Bay public courses to check this out. Do not hesitate on making the drive.
Great course but...
I played this course a few times and I have definitely seen it in better shape but it is still pretty amazing especially if you get a hot deal. We've gotten a lot of rain recently and the bunkers were pretty washed out. Some had a bunch of standing water in them and some just looked pretty rough even though the water had drained out. There are a few patches around the greens or on the edges of the fairways where it looks like they had some kind of fungus hit but overall greens and Fairways are fantastic. I haven't played the South course in a while but my understanding is the North Course is a little more open than the South course. I think they actually just closed the North Course and opened the South course.
NICE DAY AT THE TRACK
PLAYED IN 3 1/2 HRS COURSE GREAT STAFF GREAT, PLAYED WITH A GREAT FREIND TEMP WAS 94 FREND SHOT 94 GREAT ODDS
One Course that is a pleasure to review
As usual, speedy greens with breaks that are hard to read. Course Management is vital on almost all holes because being our of position is often a stroke. this course challenges from any tee.
