Recent experience
First time to Naples. Great place. Wishing had spent more time researching courses.
Overall, Lely was nice. Bag staff barely spoke. Starters were very nice and accommodating. Shop staff solid as well. The clubhouse iand locker room are dated and worn out. If you are seeking food or a cocktail, it doesnt open until 11.
The Mustang course was decent and in good condition. Bunkers were inconsistent. Not overly challenging or wasy. Greens in great shape, but slow.
Course offers multiple tees, but layout and marking is a bit inconsistent.
Biggest problem is the greens fee. I paid well over $350 for what at best was a $150 to $175 experience.
Assuming they are in demand but I'm confident one could find equal courses with better amenities for half to two-thirds the fee.
I'd not choose to play there again.
Will definitely be a regular stop.for me
Amazing holes, friendly staff in pro shop, starters,
bev cart and bag guys..all helpful.and amazing
Greens varied in speed, some fast others slow. Some sand traps need attention (#11). Otherwise fabulous course with lots of challenge with wind. Practice areas, range and short game, are top notch and included in green fee.
110 Bunkers
One of I played with said he wa told there was 110
bunkers… personally in at least 5 of them … that’s on me right , but there )IMO) is way to much sand
Done believe you should sink on to the top of your shoes just by stepping in
The starters are great, true player advocates
Little pricey but I’d recommend it!
I’d say many bunkers are poorly placed. Good shots should rewarded and I’m okay with bunkers gathering up poor shots. There’s a par 4 on the front with a very large bunker 219 out (green tees) that doesn’t really give you any place to aim off the tee.
Lely Mustang
great practice facilities included in your green fees, very playable golf course, happy to play it regularly when the cost is reduced,
people working there are very accommodating and nice
Ride the pony
Mustang is a challenging but fair track … play the right tee position for your skill level and rip it
Lely Flamingo
Felt expensive but was in great condition and I enjoyed the course. Spent 2/3 as much elsewhere but really enjoyed this course so worth it.
Lely-Flamingo
One of the best courses in town open to public
Great layout
Great greens
Beautiful
Beautifully maintained
Friendly staff
Lely Mustang
A fun course, difficult for me but generally fair.
Fantastic time playing The Flamingo
The Lely Golf Resort is a first class operation from bag drop to 18th green. Staff are friendly and helpful. Course is in excellent condition. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are private country club quality. Course is fair but challenging - lots of water and strategically placed bunkers. Greens are smooth and sloped. Carts are modern, clean and have GPS. Fully stocked pro shop. And Sam Sneads Tavern for dining. Simple - if you get a chance to play at Lely - do it - guaranteed a good time.
