Just open after renovations
Course just opened after major renovations and needs to mature but in good condition. Greens rolled well. Very nice variety of holes; not a bad one. One of the best public courses in the area. But, pace of play was horrible. Played front 9 in 1 hour 40 minutes (which was awesome) but played back 9 in 2 hours 40 minutes. On #14 we pulled up to the tee and 3 groups were ahead of us on same hole. One on tee, one in fairway and one on green. Then the group behind us pulled up and made 5! Told by Marshall #17 backs up play. It’s a par 4; no excuse for lack of enforcement of pace of play. Really like the course but pace of play is a concern.
Course appears to be undergoing construction of some sort
Course was undergoing maintenance heavy duty equipment on course, not worth what i paid
Nice course
I have played many times this course and I always enjoy playing a round here. The only negative point is that both the main putting and approach practicing areas were closed and I like to practice before the round. It is true that the smaller one close to the start of the Mustang was available, but there is no bunker and fewer options for approaching practice.
GolfNow error
The Mustang course that we played was beautiful. However, Golfnow made a reservation for us, erroneously on the Flamingo course which is closed, and then correct it it in their confirmation email. When we got to the Mustang course, there was no reservation for us. This has happened to multiple people and I think Golfnow needs to correct this problem.
